It was December 9, 1983. ( I was 15 years old ). This video is the reason my Mom sprung the $400+ for our very first VCR. (The remote actually had a chord) This was our first video cassette, and all the neighborhood kids would come over to watch. We'd push the furniture back and do the Thriller dance in the Living Room.
@Firebirrd85 Thanks for posting. I recorded it without knowing what was going to air that day. I remember my father was watching this with me for the first time. Quite a shock !
@DPQuebec It is truly an honor :D!...too bad TV programing is not cool like this anymore :(...used to watch this show every weekend while growing up! ...have to admit, i've been hearing this intro in my head for the entire day, lol.....Thanks for posting :D!!
"Michael Jackson's Thriller" is a 14-minute music video for Michael Jackson's single of the same name. It was released on December 2, 1983 and directed by John Landis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jackson.
Hello Ramirez, Friday Night Videos is a music video show broadcast on the American NBC television network from July 29, 1983 to May 24, 2002, and was considered network televisions answer to MTV.
Wow, thanks for sharing this, I've always wanted to see the premiere of this now legendary video! I was a baby when it aired, what memories! Today isn't the day Michael Jackson was born but rather the day he's reborn!
This video has been recorded on a Mitsubishi 4 heads with dolby. My dad paid 1000$ for this heavy piece of new technology!
