  • Were these the movies I used to see advertised in Creepy and Eerie magazines?

  • 16mm

  • Jeez, are people that forgetful or just dumb? Castle Films DID release Super 8mm mag SOUND editions just as much as they released Super 8mm and Regular 8mm silent editions. Just because these are sound does NOT mean they are the also-released 16mm optical sound editions.

  • I had the Standard 8 version. Castle also released films in 16mm, this may be one of those, but to the best of my memory, it follows my 8mm shot by shot.

  • Are these Super 8MM mag prints? Castle's editing and print quality was the best when it came to these 200ft editions! I too had these in Super * silent, the box art was the best!!!! Sold them all off..........but got many of them back in 16MM optical. Castle rocks!!!!!

  • Long live Super8!

  • thank you!!! in the uk we had walton super 8 films. along long way and along time ago.

  • Wow - I still have my super copy of this - only it's silent subtitled! Great to see this here. Thanks.

  • A true classic no matter how you slice it!

  • A classic no matter how you slice it. The film that put Karloff on the map. Unfortunately for Lugosi, he turned down the role of the Frankenstein monster where later in years he would regret his decision. The monster was the award winning work of makeup artist Jack P. Pierce. Two thumbs up to you Universal, Jack Pierce and especially you Boris Karloff for bringing us this timeless classic.
