This song was done from a minus one of the original from the album " Rhonda sings Bob Nelson". Her voice is live but the music is as recorded in Pierre Grill's studio.
I have video of Rhonda doing takes of this song (Leahua) in Pierre Grill's studio. I'm working on a video, along with some unreleased material I hav. It will be posted here when ready. Mahalo for the post.. Uncle Mike
It's been almost 5 months since Rhonda passed away. Rhonda was my vocal coach but most of all had become a good friend. I could always talk to her about personal things and when I was down she made me feel better. It's been hard finding anyone to fill her shoes.
I keep her pictue and a poem I wrote for her but was not able to read at her funeral right on top of my TV. Everytime I sing, she is looking down at me. I see her smiling and remember her with love and awe.
Halloween is Rhonda's birthday. Thank you Lord for meeting her & to film her 2002 shows. Thank you Rick Bench for opening your heart & sharing Rhonda's life with me. What I know now, Rhonda in the presents of "The God of the living not of the dead" now proclaims - "Oh grave where is thy power, Oh death where is thy sting!"
Today is Oct 31 and it is Rhonda's birthday. She was all of those things mentioned above and so very much more. It was an honor and a pleasure to have her in my life--not long enough but always treasured. I am so happy I have this clip to watch when missing her is just too much to bear. Rest in peace my friend. I hope you know how much you were and are loved. Whereever and whoever your life touched--there was always magic. I miss you. xoxoxoxoxoxo
Her loss unbearable and the pain indescribable. She was the most graciouse, funny, warm and wonderful woman.
A one woman act that no one could follow......Her passing leaves a black hole in the universe. She sang at my chapel and she was my friend........I will miss her...
Rhonda was nominated 3x for "Best Female Vocalist" in Australia,in 87, 88 and 89. She was nominated best Cabaret performer in 89 ...
She won "Entertainer of the Year" for New Zealand where her television appearance set the record for the most money ever raised in New Zealand by way of television.
She was adored in Hawaii. She was a mother to many and a wife to me.
Rick--Rhonda was my dear friend and I miss her every day. I am so very sorry for your loss but think how lucky you have been to have such a wonderful woman in your life.
Rhonda was an artist who sang her heart out and did it. She did it: achieved goals artists only dream of attaining. What a voice! She'll be a Pacific treasure surely missed. Aloha Oi Rhonda
I saw Rhonda's show quite often and was a good friend of Rhonda's. She will be missed and remembered by many all around the world. We will still shed tears because we miss you so much.

It has been over 12 months since this wonderful talented woman went to sing in the heavenly choir. Missing her never gets easier but loving her does.
