I dropped out of Band. I was 1st trumpet, always. I gave that up to learn the cello. invested 270 in a cheap cello and i guess i got lucky because it's not a bad cello at all. so far im 1 week into teaching myself, and can already play songs.

Well about 2 weeks now. I can do vibrato and play scales. i taught myself hope by apocalyptica, and i dont butcher it when i play it, or so people say. The calices on my fingers are barely starting to form. I practice atleast six hours a day. nothing has brought more joy to my life than playing my cello.
