This is such bull. If this is true, then the bible was written for only Americans who believe the bible. As for the rest of the world, you're not special and you need no end prophecy. What a crock of bull.
What part is true? Is it the part that says a woman who is raped and not married has to marry her rapist. Or is it the part that says the earth is center of the universe and that the sun revolves around the earth. Noah's flood has been disproven by scientist they have not found a layer of soil that shows that the flood happened. Ten commandments came from the egyptians not god.
The bible is a load of stories from several different cultures over a long period of time. Not divinely inspired.
Cont. Verse 15 amplifies the point about the future of Christians who have died by declaring that those who remain alive at the coming of Christ have no spiritual advantage over those who died. Said another way, those who have died are not at any disadvantage. All
Christians, living and dead, will be included in the events described in verses 16 and 17
Cont. Paul wrote that there was no need for them to be overwhelmed by grief as if there was no hope for life again. The main point is explained in verse 14. The dead will be brought to life again. Paul doesn't leave the subject there, but adds a time frame to this resurrection-"with Him," that is with the coming of Christ. Did he mean an approach by Christ or did he mean the Second Coming?
Everything all okay up until you came up with this "Rapture" theory deception. As you read verse 13, you discover that Christians in Thessalonica were grieving over the unexpected deaths of members of the local congregation. Like Christians throughout time, they apparently thought they would live until Christ returned. They were totally
Has anyone else thought about why the angels dont know that day or hour either? So they have the same conecpt of time we do? In this day in age you could say that angels could be living on a nearby star system...
Yes! The answer seems to be because two Jewish Priests in Jerusalem must observe the Mew Moon which starts the Day of Trumpets. But, Christ said the sun, moon and stars would be dark after the Tribulation so no one will see the New Moon for the Feast of Trumpets that year. Good point. Have you read 'Tribulations or Triumph: Your Choice"? Harris actually got me into the church and taught me the truth of the Post-Tribulation Rapture.
You may be confused on generations for according to Acts 2:16-20, the last days were initiated with the beginning of the church on the day of Pentecost. The church is a generation. Anti-christs have been among us for years: they've headed church organizations, ran countries, and deceived many. But now the Beginning of Sorrows have drawn near and thanks to the heresies of hal lindsey and tim lahaye, many will not be ready for the tribulation.
Matthew 1:17 states that there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.
Please tell me where in the Bible the church is called a generation? I see in the Bible where Richard is talking about the generations in Matthew. But, I'm not finding anything that calls the church a generation in the Holy Bible.

What is the scriptural basis for this enigmatic doctrine? None of the authors of recent
decades is credited with the development of the rapture theory. That credit goes to 19th
century John Nelson Darby, "a brilliant British theologian and preacher"
("Apocalypticism" by Paul Boyer, PBS Online, 1999). While some advocates of the
rapture occasionally refer to a few other scriptures, all agree that the main argument is
based on verses 16-17 of Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians.

Sorry about the term "Rapture."
I don't believe in a Pre-Trib "catching up" aka "Rapture."
I do believe in a Post-Trib Resurrection which will include the catching up of those left alive.
