This makes me cry. For my mommie Ernestina Ellis Cavallo RIP 3/26/10. She was a life long member. When we were a gentler kinder America. Thank you for the little pension she received $105.00 but it helped and she did very well as an immigrant. God Bless.
The problem with unions, today, is that there is no democracy in them. decisions are not made by the members democratically; they are made by a privileged bureacracy, who have no qualms about siding with management, if it means a payout for them.

Typical freaking liberal. Unions have RUINED this country! At one time they were important...60 years ago! I really think it's disgusting to pay a person 35.00/hour to put in a screw on an asembly line at a car manufacturing plant. Good lord you are a taker - a typical liberal. I will NEVER AGAIN buy an american car until the unions are disbanded. And believe me, I try my best to never support ANY union. YOU are ignorant. But I'll leave the foul language to the typical unions hacks.
i would suggest reconsidering. while unions are out of control right now, i think it's a far worse issue that jobs are sent over seas. and worse, most stuff is made in slave factories so for us to buy the stuff is basically supporting slavery. i guess if i had to choose, i'd choose to support unreasonable demands over slavery.
Actually, the main reason factory jobs have decreased isn't because all these jobs are going overseas. Most of them have been replaced by machines.
And of the ones that do go overseas (these slave factories as you would like to call them) provide the people of those nations to the chance make a living where they would otherwise be starving to death. As well as allow the American consumer the opportunity to buy products at a reasonable price.
I remember the pop bottle glasses of the 70's.

OK you ignorant little bitch. Go back to working 12 hour days, six day weeks, and competing with children for wages.
Do it you insufferable piece of shit, I dare you. Move to Bangladesh and work in a factory.
