  • Very good and informative video, thank you for the upload.

  • @addisonwilson Thanks for watching.

  • wax on wax off good ur learning well Daniel son very good now come to my room. good job like ur wook

  • A great trick for doing filler work is... after fairing out the filler, put a piece of wax paper over the wet filler or patch area and smooth it out,Then after about 5 minutes when the filler has solidified, (*but before the mix has completely hardened or cured), remove or gently peel off the wax paper, and it leaves a nice smooth surface with very little sanding to do. It works great !!!. large holes can be covered by putting the filler on wax paper first, then apply it to the repair area.

  • @shirleymae30 Thanks for the tip. I have never tried this, but I'm always up for trying something new. I'll give it a try. Thanks! If you have any other tips, let me know.

  • Boooooooo . I could of metal finished that dent

  • nice

  • can u check my channel and tell me how long and how much would it cost to repair the rear doors of my car look at vide name sell please

  • @honduras4lifeputo That is a hard one to call. I can not see the damage very good on the video, and the labor rates are going to be different anywhere you go. You may want to check with a few body shops. Most shops will provide you with a free estimate. Sorry not to directly answer your question, but that is the best advice I can give you. Thanks for watching my videos.

  • @ButlerCollision thank u anyways and nice videos

  • @honduras4lifeputo You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

  • Hello, a guy punched my car door and now has a small dent. please what can I do to fix this without hammering the surface, neither using a straight line sander.

    thank you

  • @willhemsv You can try taking your door panel off and pushing it from the inside out. Try not to pry hard with a metal object or hitting it with a hammer. Use your hand or the plastic end of a screw driver to see if you can push the damage out. There are also paintless dent repair businesses that can do this for you. If you can not find one, ask your local auto dealership who they use. Thanks for watching my videos.

  • Why do you put glazing putty on? I am a novice at this and im about to apply body filler to smooth out my 1977 f150. I have no tools, I was going to use Bondo body filler with hardener. What else do I need and do I really need to get a putty or glazing putty and where could i get some. please email me at patton_havok@yahoo.com if you have any tips for me thank you.

  • @HCPatton18 Putty makes the final coat easier to sand, but it is not required. If you body filler looks good and there is no pin holes, you can skip the putty step. I have made a lot of repairs without using putty. I hope this helps answer your question. Let me know if not. Thanks, Donnie

  • @ButlerCollision Thanks for the help, I am restoring a 1977 Ford F150 and this is going to help alot since all I am doing is floating the body out. I am going to use Evercoat Rage Gold on it, I heard it is the best, what do you think?

  • @HCPatton18 Yes, Rage is a very god body filler. Not the cheapest, but good. Send me some pics reply to this video with a video of your project. Thanks for watching!

  • what the hell are the commercials about?

  • @JewjuBEEkern I think there are different commercials that youtube puts on there. I am not sure which ones you watched, so I am not sure what they were about. Usually, they put automotive related commercials, since this is an automotive channel. But who knows, there was probably some off the wall commercial when you watched the video.

  • how much would a damage a little bigger than that would cost to get repair?

  • @larpt23 I would say the dent in the video is a 2 hour dent. The average shop charges somewhere around $50 If that is the case, this dent would cost $100. If the dent is a little bigger, say a 3 hour dent, the coat would be $150.

  • tight video man keep it up u hellpin out newbies like me

  • @akswagga2010 Glad you like it, thanks for watching!

  • Another awesome video and so much to learn here. The spreading of filler around 19:10 shows amazing skill. One thing I would do differently - if I could repair dents to that standard, I would personally apply 3M 'Piranha putty' (glazing putty) after the 150-grit-sanded previous paint (after etch primer for any bare metal) - the way I look at it, that way I keep as much of the original galvanising as possible and only need one filler stage. Works for me but I wonder if it's considered OK? Thanks

  • @alexshepherd Thanks for your input and for watching the video. You make a good point!

  • This is the type of explanation I was looking for, thanks!

  • hello..want to ask something..why u not sand with DA sander after fill with putty?

  • best video on youtube

  • @BeeKids THANKS!

  • I would've been satisfied @ 3:30.

  • Very good video. :-)

  • @Nalstubble Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.

  • Hell, I could have lived with the dent just popped out.

  • @orion7747 lol...then I could not have demonstrated how to repair it! thanks for watching!

  • So... how much time & money is spent on repainting? After you have to destroy that area to get out the dent?

  • @LookieLoudLou i am demonstrating how to repair the dent. however, you should always consider if it would be better to replace or repair. For example, if the cost of the fender is $85 and the dent is a 3 hour dent. at $50 per hour, the repair would cost $150 and replacement would cost $85. in this case replace would be the better choise. Another consideration is PDR. Can the panel be repaired with PDR and would that cost less than replacement. Many different things to consider.

  • nice video.

  • What wheel are you using at 16:42?

  • @SinnedSkin not sure, i did not see anything at 16:42 It may be a dual action sander (da) thanks for watching!

  • Great video!!

I like how the video is long and not some short clip

  • great video, very instructive.

  • @leatherface1722 Thanks For Watching.

  • good video i learnt alot but u need a new camera man LOL

  • very good thankyou!

  • @alrightgarylad you're welcome!

  • what grit of paper did you use on finding the lows???

  • @esmuhr1 36 grit or 80 will work!

  • Aha....you messed up big-style at 25.23!!!

Seriously though....fantastic and well-detailed video, Im going to give this a try with my 98 chrysler grand voyager. Thank you so much!

  • why the fuck did u degrease it before u sanded it loool....

  • Comment removed

  • thanks!!!

  • @crusadiy your welcome!

  • hey mate this one was sooo impressive, i tried to fix my fenders and front bar without any knowledge and got failed lol

yeah i've been watching this over and over.. guess it might help me heaps when i second try to work on them.. thanks mate

  • @dennis19ku88 You can get more free training at TeachMeHow . Info Thanks for watching!

  • In this kind of case it makes no difference if you replace or repair the fender.

painting and replacing it would take same time than repairing and painting it. That one is easy dent to fix quickly. Pop it out, fill straight and fine filling, quick priming and ready for painting.

    Very nice video!

  • thank for the instructional video, but in cases like this just buy a new fender.

  • @glass3s1960 thanks for your feedback. And yes, we are a school, but in the body shop you need to determine what would be the best option. 3 hours cost more than some fenders...

  • @glass3s1960 Retard a new fender would cost way more then popping a dent out..

  • 3:22 sham-WOW

  • What grit did you use to check low and high spots?

  • @Raulys1 36 or 80 grit will work fine. Thanks for watching.

  • great video.

  • @Moroboi Thanks FOr Watching!

  • what is the grit paper you used in the beginning

  • @dankfrank10 You can use 36 grit to start sanding body filler, just try not to get too many scratches in your painted surface. Once it is shaped, use 80 grit to finish. You can then use finish glaze or finish the body filler with 150 grit.

  • the old way how to do it but it was a good demmo paintless dent remover is the way forword
