  • all the sounds are from the microkorg?

  • can I get an mp3 of this? i'm only half-kidding...

  • ok so whats better? the microkorg? or the microkorg xl???????

  • Please upload the ableton file how u set up your audiotracks. Did u use the Audio Effect "Looper" from Ableton or did you record the tracks sepperatly? i really want to know! =)

  • wow

  • Good works, relaxing music.

  • hey you're amazing i've brought a new microkorg xl and a nanokontrol, can you say me your configuration with ableton live? please it's very important

  • this is sooo cool!!!

  • thats impressive I love how you looped it with ableton and the nano kontrol,I would definently use this live :) thanks for giving me this idea

  • how do you connect the nanokontrol to the microkorg?

  • You earned a subscriber.

  • :)

  • I need this...

  • Nice track, but I am looking to buy a microKorg and wanted to hear it in action. Hard to know what soft instruments in Ableton you are contolling and what are sounds native to the Korg

  • @MrPoonmoon Everything besides the drum loop is microKorg XL presets

  • reminds me of daft punk :) makes me feel happy. Good stuff, keep working on it. : D

  • Awesome!

  • I'm guessing that white thing beneath the Korg is some kind of sequencer?

  • @chrishouchins49 -or mixer?

  • So how is this all set up? What's plugged into where?

  • Does anyone know what that white recording loop thing is he is using below the microKORG? And at the same time if you use a mikoKORG through Ableton or FL Studio can you use the sounds off there through the korg?

  • @emoducki

    Korg NanoKontrol

  • ITS THE DOGS!!!!!!

  • whoah relaxing song, this music like a refresh button for my brain <3

  • /watch?v=fkn2mJ2Wow8&feature=mh_lolz&list=HL1311693408

  • Also, kinda has that Daft Punk feel that they had on the "Discovery" album. Anyways, thumbs waaaay up :)

  • Enjoyed every single time i watched it :)

Such a morning song, so positive and fun :D

  • Beautiful.

  • Your good

  • cool soundclip

    i have a few questions:

    how much does it cost?

can you also make drums with the microkorg xl?

whats the piece in front of the synthesizer? do you need this piece to record your beats? how much have you payed for this piece?

    thank you

  • @FlyingSam100 Korg Microkorg costs about 300 euros new. Unfortunately you cant make drums with microkorg xl, the musician in this video uses Ableton called software that creates drums.

The piece from of the synthesizer is a separate controller to Ableton which do that you can control your computers sounds from it. You dont need to have Ableton controller to record beats. I think it costs like 50-100 euros? Im not sure..

  • @akademiks604bc Where I was wrong bro?

  • what is that white piece that you're using in front of the synth?

  • i have the microkorg and the miniak and an mg-1 and a kaosscilator an mini kp. and an mpc 2000xl and an sp 303

  • is there a tempo nob on this? like on the regular one? i love that effect im tryin to decide between the xl and original

  • @ETSJoshVoxx Yes, the tempo knob is the knob all the way on the top left. The 2nd one. the first being volume.

  • can you get lessons?

  • awesome video.... im loving my microkorg xl.

check out my channel and blog if you like this or anything to do with synths.

  • Nice composition. Are all the sounds from the XL?

  • What's the white thing you have?

  • @JoshhHood

should be one of the korg Nano's.. guess Korg nano control

  • Selling my mk xl. Entire package looks and sounds perfect. 350$.send me a message if interested. Paypal only.

  • @DuttonWebb where do u live?

  • @DuttonWebb any interest in trading for a ps3? got a few games for it too haha it's barely been used

  • Is there any way to loop sounds together on the MicrokorgXL without having the device in front of it?

  • @TheLunarChannel no but the alesis micron can do it all in one, but it doesn't have these lush presets

  • @LedgerLines don't forget the Akai Miniak which is a 100% Micron clone, just better built and really cheap.

  • @peter47a Does it sound better? I guess I'm wondering why it's not as popular as the Micron if it's cheaper and built better...

  • @LedgerLines it's the same engine, check my videos. I switched from Micron to Miniak because the Micron slowly but surely broke apart. You don't see the Miniak around that much because the Micron was introduced much earlier. Akai tried to put their "first" synthesizer on the market with the Miniak, but in fact it was just a Micron in a new hardware design. Which is good because I loved the Micron and love the Miniak :)

  • Had this melody in my head for a few days now, nice little tune. Thanks

  • that's the priciest toy I've ever seen.

  • @cjsinister6 its one of the cheapest synths in the world...

  • @krakatoa47 other than the "the player" "the factory" "Alesis micron" "microKORG"

  • what is that thing he uses for the loops?

  • @allmetaliswelcome Thats what i want to know ':p

  • @allmetaliswelcome He used Ableton Live for the loops. He's controlling the loops with a Korg Nano Kontrol.

  • i just gotta say.. that was pretty dam amazing...

  • Is it the MIDI data that he is looping? In that case, i will buy ableton or some other sequencer and rock out on my XL!

  • @Suuhlem he's not using it as a midi controller. u could do that with ableton, but he's recording the audio straight from the synth into ableton. he's looping audio clips rather than midi clips. if u got an xl, definitely get a DAW or sequencer to put things together, edit, and master songs. hell, even garageband would be ok

...but ableton live is the best XD

  • @chuckles1252 Thanks for the info! :D However, i have one more question (if you know the answer :D). Is there a way my microkorg XL can recieve MIDI data in a way that it could play several programs at the same time? Cause i kinda want to modulate the sounds with filters and etc. while its playing the midi data. That would probably be very possible with one program, but with multiple?

    Thank you :D

  • @Suuhlem i dont think u fully understand what midi is. midi doesn't send audio signals. a midi keyboard sends pitch signals that tell the synth or program what key ur pressing, velocity (how hard u hit it), and gate (whether ur hitting it). u could send midi signals from it, using it as a midi keyboard to control something else. it has its own built in filters, tho. i think the solution to ur problem would be to record the audio into an audio track in ableton, and put some effects on it.

  • @chuckles1252 I know what MIDI is :D.... Thanks anyway!

  • @Suuhlem oh sorry, i just kidna misunderstood ur question. what exactly are u trying to do?

  • @chuckles1252 Haha, i know it sounds messed up, and probably very unlikely now that i think about it, but heres what im trying to do:

If i send MIDI signals on separate channels, and assign each channel to a different program (if it's possible), could the Microkorg then play several programs at once?

So basically, the MkXL only recieves note, velocity and all that stuff, for all of the programs (now speaking hypothetically :D) . And then could i modulate all sounds as they are played?

  • @Suuhlem i think if u had the right cable, i guess. i'm not sure tho, i dont have a degree in producing electronic music lol

    ...yet

  • Great sound, great video. Thumbs up!

  • wow.. fine clear sound.. and good wirk :)

  • quick qestion: so the nanoKONTROL is plugged into your computer via usb plug in...but what is your Micro KORG XL plugged into? and what kind of cables are you using (midi, usb, etc)?

  • @BombsOverHawaiiPt2

Looks like just a simple L and R audio from the Korg to the PC/Laptop (via audio interface).

  • so does the nanokontrol act as a usb mixer? if not, how can you get the sound of the microkorg to play through a pc?

  • @TheCrazyLutenist

Audio out of the Korg into the audio interface is my guess.

  • what's the device below the microkorg?

  • @houseband239 it's a korg nanokontrol

  • great use of gear!! Denkitribe got it alll. Like ur style!

  • great use of gear!! Denkitribe got it alll. Like ur style!

  • Geico commercial? Lol

  • Hey man! I hope you can help me. I have an microKorg XL and the Ableton 8 Live, but I havent figured out much yet. When I do loops, I use the audio effects -> Looper. But to use the mouse all the time is quite tricky... So I think of getting that little nanoKontrol. Now my question: Does the Looperfunction allow the nanokontrol to turn off and on the volume (like you did in the video?) Or do you recored them on several audiotracks? greetings!

  • @WeibchenOfDeath He did the recordings in seperate tracks. You can tell because between each layer-recording he presses a button next to a new fader, which is commonly assigned to switching between tracks.

  • hey!!! that was brilliant! please tell me: what is that amazing looping device, that white korg thing?!!! i've been searching all over for something that would do just that, but people keep telling me "kaoss or nothing" but i refuse to believe that! I NEED THAT THING, PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME, I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER <3

  • @fhagaff It's a Korg nanoKONTROL.

  • Friggin' AWESOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice tune!

  • @20twentytwenty20 learn english

  • hey dude.. do I need a computer to do this?? please answer me!! im getting this tomorrow.. how do I ask for the recording thing? does the recording thing go directly into the microkorg??

  • did you only use an audio output cord for the synth? and does the USB from the nanokontrol just go directly into the computer? or is there something connecting the two before they enter the computer?

  • I'm getting this tomorrow....fuck yes!! YES!! WIN!! :D:D:D

  • I came.

    Twice.

  • so is all of this the defult on the microkorg xl or is it edited and how did u do the looping thats pretty cool

  • are u recording the parts with ableton live? or is that an actual sampler?

  • nice demo.....sounds really good

  • Could you do a short tutorial on how you used Ableton Live and the looping device to make this vid? Im considering getting Ableton, but not sure if it's right for me.

  • I have no idea why but.. this inspires me thanks

  • He's looping with Ableton live, which is computer software for recording and looping, and controlling it via a Korg Nanopad hooked up to his computer via USB. It's a solid looping solution, and Live is great software. Might have to get this set-up going for myself in the future.

  • diy ardino synth vid i saw year ago.

  • good stuff.

  • awsome

  • ye I´d also like to know, whats the looping device ur using there ?

  • @lysergiinhape ableton live

  • @brietzmann

kk, i thought he ment just software

  • Can I record what I play on to audacity?

  • I have a question! Does the looping comes as a function of the MicroKorg XL?

  • @gettherythm I believe that's a function of the Ableton Live software he's using with it.

  • @gettherythm No. It's just a MIDI Controller.

  • @hismastersvoice88 It's a full synth lead...

  • @MRbandofficial OKAY! We learn every day. Thanks;)

  • excellent.

  • very nice . . .

  • really really well played!!

    beautifull music ;-)

  • How did you connect your Microkorg to the computer? USB or midi?

  • @Lundgren49 the xl has usb !

  • dose anyone know what he is using to loop the synth (keyboard)

  • @crazymilo99

Pretty sure it's the nanoKONTROL by KORG.

  • @Elmokorvo cool thanks :p

  • Sucks I put batteries and it turned on but no sound.. :(

  • @TheGradumate You may want to plug the device into a audio source

  • @tangofizz77 HAHAA!

  • what are you using to loop the sound

  • i enjoy your musical skills

  • i got hypnotized

  • what's your setup?

  • whats making the beat?

  • What is the thing in front of the microkorg?

  • @MrFuckNoobs Its a Korg NanoKontrol

  • @ryaneowww Tyvm

  • multitímbrico??? 6ch midi???

  • daft punkish

  • 34 ppl are jealous

  • i ask because i used garageband and made many songs, and now i bought the microkorg xl, i basically want something like the storage device on the old microkorg... is that what it is basically used for?

  • @Trilla141 The NanoKontrol is only a midi controll that you can set the buttons to mute and solo or whatever you want

  • what is the name of that keyboard below the microkorg XL?

  • @Trilla141 nanoKontrol its part of korg's nano series

  • eargasm

  • Great video, dude!!!

What's the name of the looping thing that u are using? i realy wanna get one of those =)

    Great work

  • how to load presets files to synthesizer?

  • can the MCXL make sounds like Pink Floyd's On The Run? seen it done on DSI's etc. but can't afford a real analogue synth (also want to test the water b4 buying an expensive one if I ever do). I love that kind of VCS3 sound though and would also like to learn to play keyboards too. Thanks.

  • how much is the looping thing?

  • @33fgfhjjggy6y The controller in the video can't loop or record, its only a midi control so you will need a computer software to record and loop. But the controller (witch is a korg nanoKontrol) is only 60€ witch is about 70 dollars. Hope this helped you out

  • @player042 thank you, it did

  • argh, whats your wire setup

  • @RawrCars My guess is he's getting an audio output from the keyboard into a computer and the controller is a USB MIDI interface.

  • @y2kkmak You can see the audio out plugged in. I'm betting he's just taking the audio and looping it. The microkorg can generate all those sounds. Except for the drums.

  • how did u make the beats? are those preinstalled on the korg?

  • @xgilxx Unfortunately, they aren't. I think the beats were probably made in Ableton Live prior to the looping session.

  • I tried the microkorg today and it might be because I am a total idiot but I totally missed the easy edit style the old microkorg had. It sounds a lot better then the original microkorg but it didn't seem as easy to edit as the original. The old one is still my favorite.

  • omg that was sweet!! i love the microkorg xl.

  • so Justin Beiber is famous and you're not? WTF?!?!!?!

  • I have the Microkorg, but I have to buy Ableton very quickly...

  • @LeVoisin38 dont buy it its completely rubbish

  • @spoony01428 Ableton complete rubbish? I hope you are jokin because Ableton Live is one of the best music edit programs on the market. If you find it rubbish that means you are a fucking noob.

  • @philateliceun I appreciate that its a useful program, but I personally hate the user interface and just find it tacky. I find logic much easier and nicer to use... however ableton has the upper hand for triggering live loops so ill take it back :D

  • @spoony01428 yeah I am also much more comfortable with logic then with ableton for most things like mixing and recording. But for short things like commercial tunes and things like playing with live musicians Ableton is the shit. I love that the midi mapping is so easy a child would find it boring. Ofcourse each his own and I don't expect everybody using or liking Ableton but calling it rubbish is just rubbish :)

  • @spoony01428 what software do you recomend to use instead Ableton live???

  • @Pablothos I would say logic because of its easy use for beginners and more advanced users. its also much nicer because it just has a better user interface than pretty much all the other programs. its good for live or midi stuff so its an all round winner! :D

  • Hi, sorry but im a bit new to all this synth stuff. What program are you using to record all this? and how is the nanokontrol linked with the computer and witht he Microkorg? Cheers Cal

  • @PianoEuph He is using Ableton Live to record. The Nanocontrol is being used for control of Ableton. He is using the Loop record feature of Ableton. The MicroKorg is just providing the different voices.

  • @PianoEuph He is using Ableton Live to record. The Nanocontrol is being used for control of Ableton. He is using the Loop record feature of Ableton. The MicroKorg is just providing the different voices.

  • this absolutely rules.

  • NICE PIECE OF MUSIC!!!!!! That's how the microKORG should be used.

btw, what is the white box thing you have under it? And is that what is recording and playing back? Please reply :).

  • @goguda55 Korg nanoKONTROL

  • @goguda55 KORG nanoKONTROL

  • last part too much screeching, need to diminish that.

  • @mgil479 Geez, give him a chance to mix it down. It's barely been laid. :)

    Nice work!!

  • Nice work!

  • great video on the microkorg xl, i well want one of those pieces.

Does it do everything the original microkorg does plus a lot more piano and strings and stuff as well????

Wicked little piece of music though, thats the way instruments should be used, you make it look easy and fun

  • Just awesome in its simplicity!! I wish I was half as creative!!

  • @chao1212 microSIZE, XL sound!

  • @chao1212 microKORG and nanoKONTROL linked together in Ableton!

  • sweet!

  • hi there...could u tell/ show how n what u midi map on korg micro kontrol..thanks

  • very enjoyable right on!

  • This is Hot!

  • The bass is quite muddy... you should tighten it up a bit for next time, if you can with this device. Otherwise, nice demo.

  • i wish i knew how to make that icefield preset :(

  • Was the drum line made with the MicroKorg as well?
