  • So hypnotizing.

  • This kinda reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkins song Rocket in some ways. Yes I know this song came first, but I heard Rocket first. I'm not saying it's sounds that close musically. There's a few chords that are either really similar or the same. It sounds like an inspiration for that song (which I'm sure it was), but Rocket is different enough.

  • It's the best song in the world.

  • @apaul0137 What good does it do you say such bad things about such beautiful music? You're just another piece of shit YouTube hater, you aren't worthy of this music. Go find a cesspool and drown in it.

  • @apaul0137 fuck this guy lol

  • this album captures every single thought and emotion that passes through the life of a teenager, redeems itself, and begins again.

it has restored my faith in humanity.

  • fuck you! what do you mean i can't add this to my playlist? eat shit fuckheads! you could just be cool and let a good song be heard, but you're not. fuck you and your advertising.

  • doesn't get as much credit as "only shallow" and "to here knows when", but this might just be their very best one... IMO

  • Anyone else think the beginning sounds like Sand on Fire by Kitchens of Distinction?

  • Anyone else hear the Smasing Pumpkins in this???? Billy C. knows whats up!

  • @OxfordOwls

No, I don't hear the Smashing Pumpkins in this. However, I hear a lot of My Bloody Valentine in Smashing Pumpkin recordings. Which makes sense, because MBV preceded the Pumpkins.

  • @idospeakenglish Please calm down. I know that Mvb came before the Pumpkins. I guess I should watch my wording so I don't get unproductive replies...

  • @OxfordOwls I gots the black and white billy corgan strat :P I knows whats up

  • @dairylandbogurt I'm jelly!

  • TWOJA REAKCJA? BO JA SIE OSRAŁEM OGÓLNIEEEE

  • the best SOng in the world !

  • is Kevin or Belinda singing this?

  • @pretzelpimp Most likely both

  • @pretzelpimp It's really hard to tell a lot of the time. For the longest time I thought Bilinda was the only one who sang high parts and Kevin the only one sang lower range parts, but according to sources they both switched back and forth between both ranges seamlessly.

  • love this song.

  • Wow, that add made me turn off my damn speakers.

  • @manka6 wow you just made me waste my time calling you a retard

  • Am I the only one to think this sounds like sonic bagpipe music ? Must be the irish background ;)

  • esta es mi droga mas potente y unica y que mejor al estar con tu enamorada disfrutandolo

  • God sent me here ..... was absolutely right this time

  • Mentioning drugs amongst hearing MBV's Loveless or any need for It Is sonically Illegal.

  • Smile, life is beautiful. This exists.

  • Really beyond words. This sound was then, as it is today, just sublime.

Simply cannot put into words how grateful I am that I lived this era of sound as it happened.

1988-1993 an era of unprecedented genuineness. Raw & original...makes a nonsense of modern day guitar music / "indie" sound.

Will always fill my heart with such euphoria along with RIDE, Chapterhouse, The Telescopes, Slowdive, Verve, The Roses and so many more.

  • That`s what she said.

  • saw these guys open for Dinosaur Jr. on valentines day in Chicago many years ago. It blew my mind.

  • @asinn44111 That sounds like the greatest concert ever.

  • @asinn44111 I saw they same tour, but they were double-billed, not an opening band. They actually played longer than Dinosaur when I saw them in Atlanta.

  • This album is just so fantastic, I'm freaking out.

  • Music just all seems to go downhill from here...

  • If I see one more fucking comment with someone saying how old they are, I will go on a killing spree.

  • @KnfRaw You know it

  • always been one of my favourite songs.... sunsets with valentine listening to this songs...

  • MBV was the best hands down If you know shoegaze most likely you've investigated & will agree or present a strong argument hopefully. Slowdive's "Souvlaki" album was the very Second BEST SHOEGAZE ALBUM It still could barely nipp at the heels of "Loveless" but.. what can!? lol. I love this era, style & this genre.. forget labels this is good music=has SOUL..nesting you STRONG in your 90's memories & better days..manufactured crap never molds for days but good food molds If not ate fresh you know!

  • @playaeyez17 I present a strong arguement: Chapterhouse's album whirlpool is the runner up after Loveless.

  • mostly altered on no sleep, not even drugs. i mean yeah duh there were drugs lol but half of the altered consciousness came from lack of rest on kevins part. kinda explains why the whole album has this really 'woozy' feel to it.. full on love for my bloody valentine.

  • Or "Run and hide" maybe...

  • "Over her

    I will go

    To the light

    Run from sleep"

    Maybe?

  • this album changed my life.

  • I'm floating in a the loudest no-gravity space I've ever been in; the noise transforms for a few seconds and I start soaring downward into more ecstasy, and the then the noise kicks back in, with just as much force as it had the first time (if not more).

Dear God, I ADORE this album.

  • their best song, in my opinion

  • I love this song so much. My first ever visit to New York, I was walking up 8th Avenue on my way to Times Square and this song came on, the bright lights and the ambience of the city worked so well with this song.

  • This is my favorite song on the album. I love the Sublime sonic sounds MBV.

  • Alot of their music was created while altered by a substance, if you want something close to the "full experience" of what they were trying to display,

memorize the lyrics and alter yourself.

  • @xroyceyeahx do you know the lyrics? no-one else seems to.

post them (your interpretation of all of them) on here.

    THEN eye'll join you.

  • I love the lead guitar line, beautiful piece of music and production altogether

  • just cuz u wanna fuck me doesnt mean u love me

  • This song is everything ecstatic, fanciful, dreamy and euphoric.

  • This is, has, and always will be my favorite MBV song. Nothing like it, and I hate how it takes someone forever and a half to find out how to play it.

  • @CrappyLetsPlaysRUs you mean the guitar chorus? how does one play it??

  • @cw1980cw It's capo'd behind the second fret, and you play F# and C# alternating, the little solos are easy to do

  • Comment removed

  • quite possibly the greatest song ever created :)

  • @skate4funmf that's such a bold statement, yet i can't disagree.

  • I always imagine those high-pitched noises in the background are a bunch of birds, and it almost brings me to tears.

  • @Mightyboy7 a chorus of electronic birds? do you imagine them in flight?

  • @cw1980cw I usually think of it more like being in a forest and not being able to see any of them, but they're everywhere.

  • @Mightyboy7 dude i couldn't handle that association. that part is overwhelming enough as it is!!

  • I just got wood.

  • AS good as this album is, its nothing compared to Isnt Anything.

  • @amistadfighter Thanks now I'll never not see that.

  • check out Swirlies too... watch?v=JUTEB2jmeM0

  • Recommended this album from a random guy on a Big Black video. Astonished. Dumbfounded. Subject to orgasm. Wait. Yeah, I just did.

How could I be so ignorant in the past?

  • this was first time I ever gave this band a serious listen.

    wow.

  • No Age and My Bloody valentine are two bands that can do things with a guitar no one could ever dream of.

  • how did they create those choppy high-pitched sounds you hear at the beginning and in the choruses? anyone know?

  • I don't usually listen to MBV, but when I do, I listen to Come in Alone.

  • Comment removed

  • What the fuck is "shoegaze" I bought this record when it came out. Come on, does everything need to be labeled?

  • @scafflife That was a music journal name given to the genre because people at gigs would sway and stare at their feet rather than dance or jump around.

  • @spuddy83 It was a reference to the bands on stage not the audience. can you imagine 500 people at a gig all looking at their shoes/ boots/ sandals/ flip flop/ trainers etc?

  • #shoogazer

  • i think i'm high and i'm not even smoking the shit

  • The stratospheric colossus of Sound.

  • This album is one of those entities that is so perfect I have trouble believing it's real. It's as if the human soul was transformed into music.

  • When you listen to this album, it makes all other music seem shallow. I love it.

  • The meeting of rock and rap... or at least Public Enemy and My Bloody Valentine with dashes of Faith No More "what is it' Bas.

  • This song reminds me of coming in alone drunk, hours before shitting the bed on a typical Saturday.

God bless you Kevin Shields you wavy haired raven of God.

  • Amazing album! It´s MBV's best...

and i have on vinyl! He He!

I've seem them live (at last!) last year on a festival in Portugal.

  • @Suesfine

Ive got this on vinyl too, most good

  • @adorkablekid who the fuck said that shit? they must of been on crack

  • best song

  • I listened to this album first time i did salvia

  • @menijoe When i tried that i was high for only a minute. Did you do 50 hits? lol

  • @jonnyrocketballs69

haha no I meant my buddy put this album on and we smoked I was sober after about 2 er three songs I can't remember but my high was killed by my one bud who refused to smoke but wouldnt leave the goddamn room and thats all I wanted him to do

  • only shallow and come in alone are great songs

  • i dont think anybody should be doing heroin. if you snort it once a year or so thats fine. but if your shooting it up your knocking on heaven or maybe even hells door

  • this is my favorite along with sometimes

of what ive been listening to on youtube.

need to get this album its fucking amazing.

  • Hey guys, you can find the LYRICS @ EasyLyrics . org/?artist=My+Bloody+Valentine&title=Come+In+Alone

  • best song on the album in my opinion, it's an instant dream-sound, i love it.

  • It's all passionate yet mellow. I was a little iffy when I first listened to this band.. but as the seconds passed, I've learned to really like their sound.

  • why do you people always give this band a bad image that theyre only for emos? i hardly listen to emo music and i think theyre a pretty good band. nice chill out music

  • @asands123 i agree, i think people put this band in an emo image , because so many emo bands of today have names that are similar to " my bloody velentine"

  • @tjmoney1331 Dude it's true I got these guys' confused with bullet for my valentine and crap like that, and didn't listen to them for years

then i heard about them being a shoegaze band from the early 90's late 80's, plus a friend recommended them to me. So I listened and DAMN was I wrong before.

  • @thefish649 hahahha same happened to me. Everytime someone recommended them to me I answered that I didn't like emo music

  • @iwishiwasalice hahaha me too

  • Someone with a sense of humour posted the ad for earplugs at the beginning of the vid. He's probably been to one of their gigs.

  • This is the first time ive heard MBV and I must say they are amazing! Im such a sucker for shoegazin

  • i wish i had listened to them during my psychedelic years. no more drugs for me - ever. so i'll never know. but patti smith said that mbv gets you there without taking any substance. she's not far wrong.

  • Such an amazing song...mbv is one of the few bands where most of their songs are perfect for at least three drugs.

In my opinion, it's an experience listening to songs such as this, sometimes, loomer, lose my breath, *all i need, while under the influence of lsd, heroin, or even weed.

p.s.-sorry anti druggies...i just want to make sure other people have experienced the amazingness

  • Heroin? Are you kidding me?

I respect your opinion and all, but geez. I don't think you need drugs to be overwhelmed by MBV.

  • never said you do

  • Yeah, but you said they're perfect for drugs. And you want other people to experience the "amazingness."

  • he's just saying they're amazing sober...but unbelievable on acid or heroin which is completely true :D

    don't do heroin tho :)

  • @cardigansarecool: I agree. Stupid druggies.

  • @cardigansarecool you dont but drugs are always welcome!

  • @cardigansarecool junkies ruin music with ther stupid philosophies.music which can make you drift off without drugs is way better than that stuff labeled stoner rock or whatever

  • @cardigansarecool Weed is fine, heroin is a definite no-no...your name makes me want to punch myself in the head btw. :D

  • @MyBeautifulZygote

    MyBeautifulZygote was already taken.

  • @cardigansarecool Best comment ever. :)

  • @cardigansarecool Totally Agree. Actually I couldn't agree more..

  • Well, its springtime. I'm thinking about listening to Loveless on 5 dried grams of mushrooms. ;]
