  • haha he sucks pretty bad, i have that board i can do way more than he can

  • how does this guy suck hes pretty good

  • that song was def made on garage band

  • why would you want to buy white's board? he is way overrated

  • it comes im 136 to i have it

  • close ur JACKET !!!

  • what colour is the base on this one , ( 154 W ) black or white???

  • Anyone know the brand of pants he's got on with the overhauls?

  • olympic sex games hahaha

  • nic trudnego

  • check this out watch?v=QxAfaG5HovY

  • i just recently bought this board, and its pretty good. Actually so far im loving it. but on the down side its a little heavy for me. anyway this is a decent review dont hate guys dont hate..

  • man you suck.. it too much board for you!!!

i really hate that kind of peolpe how can buy the best stuff and they are really bad !!

  • not sure if you paid attention but this was a review of a the board for our shop... comment fail.

  • @PortersLars even so he didnt even have skills to really review that board

  • @PortersLars hahaha clearly doesnt speak english

  • haha seriously dude.

  • I just rode this board last weekend at Sunshine. It's a terrible board. It's way to stiff and serious. Not playful or fun at all. I'm 180lbs riding the 156 and I really had to lean into it to try to butter. I noticed that there is an exaggerated amount of camber on the board. Really boring to ride but it ollies like a MOFO. I wouldn't buy it.

  • this guy below wants to teach SHAUN WHITE how to ride a snowboard.. perfect... hahahaha

  • a good board deserves a good riding. nothing here except going straight and stopping in front of little big airs.. MAN GO OVER IT

  • have you been to hood in the summer esp in the late afternoon? ain't hitten many of the jumps A. b/c they are 80 foot pro style and B it gets super slushy and the park falls apart...

  • so what is the interest of the video ? You could have done some flat trick to show us the flex of the board ... something a bit tech. You could have done the run with a board made of wood it would have been the same. useless video.

  • obviously this video could use work however this is over a year old...why the need to criticize it? Again this was a slushy warm afternoon day at hood and we had to tackle a large amount of boards.

  • I'm just giving my opinion - I don't see the interest of going straight on a slope with lots of different board and by pulling out no tricks. This is useless. Tackling a large amount of board interest is to evaluate them quickly on rails or boxes (yes the one you go near and not over it :D)

  • let me just make sure I have this correct, a board that is technically an all mountain board (surprisingly yes the Operator is all mountain) needs to be shown riding over jumps while in the true sense of all mountain its more about the ride and not the features you hit... check the specs, the Operator is a directional board so technically it needs to be shown riding it rather than just hitting jumps.

  • hahaha....

The board matters, but not as much a s these guys say it does.... Dont worry at all, dont blame you shitty riding ability on your board, just ride it more and you'll get betterrrrrr

  • now come on, after watching the only video you have posted I don't think you have much right to criticize much of anything.

  • I just got the 152 on closeout but wasn't able to find any boots yet. The Cartel M bindings go on ok and it sits on the edge. So, I am wondering now if size 9 or even 9.5 boots would be a problem on this skinnier board. Looks like if I duck my stance, it'll be ok, but I've pretty started and got comfortable with a normal stance. Anyone have experience with or can comment on this size/setup?

  • the 152 is not suggested by Burton to have large bindings on it due to the narrower waist width. doesn't mean you can put medium bindings on it however there is a good chance you will get toe or heal drag

  • i got 158 operator with k2 formula lrg bindings as i wear a size 10 boot and a lrg burton bindinding are way to big for this board and a medium dont fit at all

  • tadedadode...downsize bro

  • if im 5'6 and 140 wut size shud i be using?

  • you could go as low as the 152 depending on your boot size and ability level... and even as long as a 158 again it depends on what you want to use it for and your ability level.

  • im 5' 6 150 ilbs .... riding a 155... seems a little big thinking about downsizing to a 153 any suggestions.??

  • all depend on your boot size, you pretty much fit into most smaller boards size range it just depends on how big your gun boats are.

  • im just wondering....is it bad when your toe hangs off the board..like my feet hang off like 1 inch

  • yes... but that could be from 2 different reasons. 1. simply you have too narrow of a waist on your board and you might need a wide depending on your boot size or 2. you might not have your bindings centered laterally on the board correctly.

  • its not bad but at the same time it is. all u gotta do is not carve that far ova. lol on my old one i was like 2 inches hangin ova lol. pree buttery ass snowboardin

  • im 5'11 and i might be buying a 2009 burton dominant. its a 150. is it too small?

  • depends on how much u weigh if u weigh over 130-135 i'd say so..

  • weight and boot size have alot to do with sizing the right board although you could ride a board that small it might just feel softer than advertised.

  • im 5'9'' and i use 152 which is a good size for terrain parks, so I would say yes

  • uh why didnt you use a good rider

  • Killer! I've got this board, Mission bindings and The Shaun boots. All brand new and I can't wait to try it out this season.

  • @HyperZ3ll

I just got this board and I'm wondering if i should stick with it?

How has it been for rails and jumps?

  • To be honest I haven't used it for rails/jumps yet, but I took it out for a spin last week and it was great. Really responsive and slick, I'm going to stick with it for sure.

  • what size should i get if im 5 7

  • what is your weight and boot size?

  • im guessing your just starting so you probably mainly just cruise the mountain. if thats what you do i would get a 154 to 158. but if you wanna do park and hit up some jumps id say gets a 150-152

  • 148 or 150

  • booo. hah burton

  • i have a 2009 Operator smalls and i was wondering if the smalls version is directional?i know the adult version is but im not sure if it is directional or twin shaped for the Operator Smalls?

  • the only difference is the flex, the adult version is directional flex and the smalls is twin flex. Both are directional shaped.

  • does that mean my board is bad for park...because i know directional isnt the best for park?

  • no, in most cases its the same nose and tail width the sidecut is just set back on the board from center. Basically its just going to engage the turn faster when you ride switch which isn;t that bad. Many riders do ride directional boards in the park, its when you get a tapered board that you don't really want it for the park.

  • is 136 ok for me i am 4'11 and 95 lbs

  • yup, that size should be fine for you

  • ye im about the same and i just got a 143 in this board if u wanna have that board for a season or so go with the 136 but if ur more advanced and u wanna have it for longer go with the 143 but its all ur choice man

  • ive already had the board for the past season im wondering if it will be fine if i grow 2 or 3 inches

  • its really more about weight than height but you should be fine on that for a while, unless you grow super fast

  • so if i grow like 3 inches i will be finbe for one more season?

  • um ye u should rock the park on that thing if its a 136 and u grow 3 more inches lol. ya a smaller board will give u alot more controll except for when your going fast which then with a smaller board u usually speed waggle more. um are u into the park or more all mountin?

  • So I'm thinking of getting this board i'm a intermediate/expert boarder. I go free ride but I sometimes like to go cruise it up at the park. Is this the right board?

  • Yup sounds like this board or even the custom might be up your alley, the operator is a little stiffer than the custom so if you were 75% freeride and 25% park then I think it would be a good fit.

  • What does it means that the board is directional? And the flex is directional? Compared with Twin?

  • directional means that the nose or tail is wider than its opposite counter part, where as a twin will be the same nose and tail width. Twin and directional flex are kind of the same. Directional flex will be stiffer on one end of the board vs the other end and again twin will be the same flex on both ends.

  • dude i need help.

ive been riding a 149.5 cm board for two years now.

im looking at this board in a 152 size.

i am 5 foot 9 inches and i ride all over the mountain. rails, jumps, slopes etc.

is this board right for me??

    plz help!!

  • whats your weight, that has alot to do with finding the right size to, although at 5' 9" I would imagine that a 152 would be ok but it all depends on your weight.

  • ya im around 135ish. 140 maybe.

  • you might be ok with the 152 however with your height the board is going to feel kinda small. If you are still growing you might consider the 156 as a better alternative.

  • thx bro!

    peace out

  • I want to get the 09 Operator, But i use 11 in boots. What lenght should i go for, and binding size??

    I am i 172cm high

    42 in weight (KG)

  • no offense but you are kinda in a tough spot, you could go with the operator 154 wide and be fine boot wise but you are too light at 42kg. I would say go for the wide but it will feel stiffer than advertised... I would say start eating some McDonalds and put some fat on your bones or else most of the boards that will fit your gun boats will be too stiff.

  • :P Thanks, dinner at Mac donalds then. :P

Im gunna buy the Burton jeremy instead. its a bit wider than the Operator :) Thanks

  • Comment removed

  • would a medium size binding fit on a 148?

  • more than likely the medium will hang over a wee bit, burton only recomends a small with the 148 but you can try it and see....

  • ive used mediums on a 148 and it didnt bother me...go for it

  • yeah.

i also have a wide stance so the wider the stance, the less it hangs off.

if you have any pics, let me know, PLEASE!

  • technically its not the wider the stance the less toe drag its the greater the binding angle the less toe or heel drag.

  • yeah of course

    i know that.

just that the higher up the thicker the waist.

    so that helps

  • that is true too but when you go too wide you go past the area of the board that will help torsionally, so too wide and the board will feel softer or possibly stiffer depending on the board, thats why you only see park kids ride a t-bolt set-up

  • more than likely the medium will hang over a wee bit, burton only recomends a small with the 148 but you can try it and see....

  • No, it will hang over a bit. As Porter said. If u want medium. Go for 156. Or go for 154 Wide

  • what size bindings do i need for a 143

  • for the Operator Smalls a Small Binding

  • although shaun white is a really good rider....hes over hyped

  • he deserves it

lets see you win 10 X Games medals

    in 6 years!

  • no he doesnt

people like heikki sorsa deserver more hype than what they have...

but, you cant deny that he is a good rider

  • People like Heikki, Eero, etc. don't get hype because they only do videos shoots.

They choose not to get hype.

Shaun is not "over hyped." People he competes against won't even attempt the stuff he pulls off.

Watch 'Its Always Snowing Somewhere." by Burton.

But I bet your a Burton hater too.

  • not at all...im down with burton...i just dont like the 3X3 system but ive got the boots and bidings..plus heikki is on the burton team with JJ

  • i brought the 158 for £210 at two seasons in the sale.major bargin.i wear a size 10 boot and i got no probs on it.the board is very catchy on the edges when you first get going ,but you just gotta ride that one out and tame that bad ass board.well worth the cash

  • I'm thinking of getting the Operator 156. i have a size 9 shoe. would a medium sized binding fit well?

  • thinkin bout this board

its basically down to this and the custom

    what would u suggest?

i ride mostly park but still quite some cruzin down the mountain

    not much powder round here

    so what's better?

  • the Operator is a 4/10 flex and the Custom is a 5/10 flex and after that thew boards share much of the same guts... if you ride more park you might want the softer flex of the Operator over the Custom.

  • thanks but turns out i gotta wait till the end of next season to get a new board

guess im gettin shaun's 2010 board (looks SICK)

  • were can you view the 2010 models?

  • just google it i've only seen pics though

    its lookin pretty sveet!!

well everyone's seen the base of the board.. kinda hard to miss when shaun's fifty feet in the air lolz

  • im wondering if this board is good for all mountain?

  • yes it can be ridden as an all mountain board... with a directional shape and directional flex and a moderate flex level this board will work great on all mountain.

  • hey which board is better the operator or the DC pro lauri board because i can not decide between the two.

  • the DC is a directional with a twin flex and the Operator is a directional with a directional flex for starters but that doesn't mean you can't ride switch with either... then is gets down to what the boards got in the guts but really its apples and oranges at that point..

  • hey can sum1 help me out im a pretty good rider and am gettin my first board soon and i was wondering if i shud get a wide or not. i have a size 10 boot and large bindings??? thanks

  • You are right in between a wide and a non wide. You could ride a regular board if your binding angles are set right or a mid wide like the Burton Mayhem. Too wide of a board with out the big feet to aid in leverage will make riding tough so make sure you don't go too wide of a waist width.

  • I have size 11 feet should I go with wide?

  • it really depends also on weight and what terrain you want to ride... if you were planning on buying the board for all mountain and weighed 145 - 195 then you could buy the 161 if you wanted more of a park board then yes you might want the wide.

  • this board is 130 now hahahahahaha

  • lol at the price.. ... and 95 cents

  • sex games what

  • How much does that board weigh??

  • not 100% sure but most boards are around 7 pounds and under...

  • I just got this board for Christmas, 160 wide. It is great, and perfect flex.

  • what size boot do u have? cus i have a 12 and i want that board

  • the guy that rode this deck has a size 8.5 and with those guns you may want to go with the wide version.

  • Wait, that guy has a shioe size of 8.5?? I don't get it, why is he riding a 154 WIDE then? thanks =P

  • That's all burton had for us to ride at the time...

  • I have size 14 in Burton Moto. They are massive. But the wide is good. It really depends on if your feet are going to grow any more. But if you have 12's i say you probably could get away with the normal non-wide version. But really its up to you. You could try just standing on it with a pair of boots at the store?

  • i have this board just got it from utility board supply i get so much air with this thing

  • hey could u tell me what mountain this is cause it looks realy nice, and what state it in.

  • Mt Hood in the great state of Oregon

  • take people, who can ride!!! xD

  • Magne traction and Banana Tech is the way to go.

    FUCK BURTOn!

  • pffft....Lib Tech makes the best boards

  • True that!

  • how is rome an underground company. half the boards at the mountain i go to are rome

  • Do whach you like and what gives you joy. Dont do wach you have to and can get from it. it destroys you mon.

  • Ill stick with the more "underground" board companies like rome sds, and stepchild.

  • snowboarding is about fun. I feel bad for whoever looks past the fun trying to make money

  • no. I just dont like sellouts. And in no way am I jealous of shauns terrible lack of style. If you dont have style you dont have shit, I dont care how fast you can spin in a halfpipe or on a jump.. if it doesnt look good than it doesnt matter

  • getting sponsored is basically selling out since every company is here to make money, and if every company is here to make money you might as well press your own snowboards and create your own ski hill. Cause we are all here to make money and make a name for ourselves.

  • sorry I didnt know the names of the owners of those companies off the top of my head... snowboarding IS founded on individuality and creativity. that is why it pisses me off that burton chose to make snowboarding so mainstream. people dont ride now because they want to they ride to impress people. the whole concept of X games, snowboarding in the olympics, shaun fucking white... it DESTROYS the individuality of snowboarding and turns it into a "damn I wanna be a rockstar like him" atmosphere

  • So what you are saying is that no company should be in to make money, more for the soul of the sport? Sadly thats wrong... no company gets in the industry to be poor they all want to make a name for themselves and Burton has just done a great job marketing themselves. As far as shaun white is concerned if he was a hack then you could hate but you cannot deny that he kiils it, so your just jealous.

  • Burton sucks. Shaun W is a sell out so is the whole company. Buy Signal, Stepchild, Rome, Ride or a few other brands that are actually run top to bottom by snowboarders for snowboarders. Dont waste your money on Burton. They were good back in the day... unfortunately they are now run by business men... people who dont even shred. its a shame

  • My guess is thats you are still a young dumb kid that has no idea how the snowboard industry works and for that fact shaun whites story of how he got to where he did... you even don't know what companies own what companies.. like ride, who owns ride? and Burton does ride what they sell or else they would have moved their corp office from Burlington VT. The only reason you think they are a sell out is the fact that they actually sell in a shop not collect dust on the wall.

  • Signal, founded and run by Dave Lee, former professional snowboarder who knows what riders want because HE RIDES. Imagine that. Stepchild, founded and run by Sean Johnson, shredder. I hate seeing shred companies run by people who dont snowboard. Burton markets to the trends. All they produce is wanna bes, people that think they are the shit because they own a burton jacket. A good snowboard company goes to the shredders and says what do you want to wear? what can you spend on a board?

  • You threw out two of the 4 you mentioned. Burton was founded by a person who has helped shape the industry and when you get as popular as burton then the more haters come out of the woodwork. The most important philosophy snowboarding was founded on is individuality so why do you need to hate on a fellow shredder who chooses to wear a jacket, its not the companies fault that somebody choose to buy it. And so if Signal starts selling too much then are they a sellout or profitable?

  • Also how did Dave Lee get the idea for Rocker? that wasn't his own idea? So who did he possibly get it from? Maybe his last sponsor? somebody thats owned by a larger company? Every company has some dirty little secrets that may not make them the supreme Core company you were hoping for. Instead of hating and looking for places to vent your teenage angst just go ride.

  • first of all you cant just assume a company is or isnt owned by anyone.. purely speculation in this case. Second, I am gonna hate when a company chooses to turn snowboarding into a mainstream, "your not cool unless your doing it" thing

  • so only a select few should snowboard and who is the governing body that allows that select few cool core people to snowboard? This is not the sport for the rich nor was is founded to be so. Second there is no speculation of who owns what an owner is an owner Just like GNU and Mervin are owned by Quiksilver not speculation it is a fact.

  • i just bought myself, going on my first trip to Alaska in February... woot

  • they should put SHAUN wight on the cover of maden 2010

  • thats such a sick board hope to get it soon!

  • looks like every other board out there

  • haha i got this last year wen it wasnt out yet lol in 2008 i got into the burton wearhouse and got it u need good connections tho lol soo i grabbed all there 09 stuff in 08 lol like there vintage snow pants lol

  • ...fail

  • chyea! im rockin the 164W! so stoked 2 have the big board this year. pray 4 snow!

  • Aww man, that is one sexyyyy board! :o

I'm so getting this for the season! :o

  • nice board dude, just bought it this morning, i cant wait to go test it out (big17ben sucks jealous asses)

    peace

  • You suck? thats all you got? can't you come up with something better? Like you're jealous and you wish you could have been at Hood this summer? Or you wish you could have ridden this board...

  • nice...im goin to hood this year...WINDELLS i cant wait
