Nothing to do with it. You say that like Billy's name is one the average person would recognize. Sadly, it's not. Because the way the industry works, exposure and popularity rarely have to do with anything credible.

Personally, I think this Dave's chops outdo Billy's. However, Billy is a more well-rounded player, imho. This guy strikes me as the bass equivalent of Michael Batio. (Not to bash either, just sayin'...)
