  • Just picked up one of these bad boys this weekend... It sure fits nice but I can't wait to put some lead down range with it!!

  • How much capacity is your Mammajamma??

  • @SAR you really dont like that plastic guide rod you always make sure you say "plastic" :-)

  • after a few FTF in each magazine with the LW 40-9 barrel I broke in the G23 with two 13 rd mags w/ 124 +p grain 9mm..I was able to shoot cheap walmart federal 115 grain without any jams after...only problem I still have is brass ejecting towards my face and sometimes even hitting my nose and eyes...for cheap shooting fun I say yes but for home defense I say NO! don't depend your life on it..stick with the .40 barrel

  • Steve! Thank you for the great video! I finally received my 40-9 lonewolf barrel for my G23 this week. I did a quick test today, and it was great! There was no malfunction at all, but a couple of times of failed slide lock. It was very accurate as well. I'm loving it. Now, I can share ammo with my wife while she's shooting her G19.

  • It sounds like KC Kasem doing a gun review.

  • do u have to get 9mm magazines also¿

  • @animail89

    yes

  • i have an extrea mag and it says, " for police and military use olny " o.o. is that bad?

  • @TosXMellow

yes, you need to send them to me right away!

  • what sights do you use on your glocks good vid stay safe

  • i noticed that the slide locked when you emptied the 19 and 30 (33? not sure) round mags but not in the 15 round mag as you stated in this vid. why do you suppose this is? i was looking at getting one of these conversion barrels, so the more info i can get on it the better. thanks.

  • @rmordica I probably just hit the slide release with my thumb. I recently used the G23 with the 9mm conversion barrel at the Magpul Dynamic Handgun Course 1 & 2 and had only one failure to eject out of 2,000+ rounds of 9mm ammo.

    I hope this helps.

    :)

  • Hi i have a g23 and bought a lone wolf 40 to 9mm and the shells hit me in the face sometimes does this ever happen to you with yours?

  • @TimODon87 comes close but not in the face.

    :)

  • @TimODon87 I had the same problem. Change your ammo. i was using Remington ammo and the shells kept lading on my head. went to federal and problem was solved.

  • your slide does lock back when your done with the rounds. watch your vid

  • thanks for the video, this is going to be my next system with the wolf barrels, love all of your videos and infomation you share, keep them coming. take care.

  • Yeah it will. The barrel is still the same.

  • Great video and shooting! I am first in line for a Glock 23 Gen4 and was wondering if this Lonewolf barrel will work with the Generation 4 Glock 23? I believe their is a dual recoil spring system instead of the single recoil spring in the previous versions.

    Thanks!

    5*

  • Great video, and not bad shootin either. I just got my Lone Wolf 40-9 barrel today. Got it out ,cleaned up and made the switch with some really high hopes. Worked flawlessly! 1st mag unloaded slow and steady, and the 2nd mag was fast and furious. Very impressed. Fed as it should, no jams and the last rnd locked the slide back both times. 2 shells hit me on the head but other than that I have no complaints.

  • I don't get why is the 9mm called 9mm and not 9 caliber?

and why are some .50 cal and how is a 7.62 smaller then that?

  • They're based on the diameter of a bullet. Caliber and millimeter are different units of measurement. For example, .40 caliber and 10mm are the exact same diameter, but are two different units of measurement.

If you still have questions, Google and Wikipedia are your friends.

  • Oh thanks :)

  • @taigakirdape Exactly just think of 40 cal as 4/10ths of an inch, and 10 mm is one centimeter. Well put

  • great shooting. today ordered lone wolf 9mm barrel for my G27.

  • great vid steve! I did the g20 6" lone wolf:) 24 ib recoil, 2.5 # trigger, pie plate at 100 yds:) so reloading any?

  • Hey Steve, Great vid. You and hickok45 are going to make me get a Glock afterall, LOL..... I was looking at a Glock 17 or 19 anyway, now that I see how easy and accurate the conversion barrel works. I believe the G22 or G23 would be the ticket. Just get the 9mm barrel and swap out when I want. Be cheaper than buying 2 seperate guns. Have a goodin and Happy Shooting, yf, kdwoodjr

  • If you got a extended slide release inserted, the lockback on empty might be tight.

Put the old one in and see if the slide locks on empty.

    That was some nice shooting!!

    5 stars

  • Thanks Steve

  • This is some high quality video making. Excellent, excellent work.

  • the .40 is much wider at the base than the 9mm. did you have to do anything for extraction? any long term effects shooting a different rim base?

  • My XD never has problems. And I've seen alot of people have to replace the plastic guide rods in Glock. I've even seen the videos were it broke during the video.

  • what exactly is the problem with the plastic guide rod?..i'm pretty sure glocks have established themselves as an incredibly RELIABLE weapon over the years even with the plastic guide rod...i see no reason why that is even an issue. i've seen plenty of XD's jam up and crap out on the other hand with all their "impervious" internal working parts..lol freakin joke.

  • many have fired over a 100,000 rounds with that plastic guide rod or spring give a problem.

    hickok45 doesnt replace them either.

165 grain is my choice for hollowpoints.

  • You said the slide failed to lock back, Was that intermittent or at the end of each mag. I have a pair of 23's I would like to check out the Lone Wolf conversion.

  • thats the beauty of the g23.g32 ect . 40cal,357sig,9mm all on the same frame .you can't go up from 9mm . Lonewolf barrels let you have 3 in 1 guns. The 239mm will also fit the g27 it will just protrude out a little . With ammo priceing going up you can shoot what you can find . Great video .

  • ☆☆☆☆☆

  • LOL So... how do you REALLy feel about that plastic guide rod Steve? Murphys law says it will fail on the 1st round you put out in a combat situation.

    Nice shooting btw

  • Steve-o, I miss your XDM.

  • another great video- thanks SAR

  • Another great video Steve

I wonder why the slide did not lock the first time.

I understand that the wolf barrel is every bit as good as the Glock.

  • i did not know you could shoot that well right in the red!! that 33 rounder is hard to rapid fire. once i shot two 10 round then a 33 rd back to back rapid fire my finger started to cramp half way though the 33 rounder lol

  • Great Vid!

  • Five Stars!!

  • Your vids are awesome! Great info.Thanks.5*s

  • Can u put a .40 cal coversion barrel for the Glock 19 9mm? Ive got one comin soon w night sights...keep up the great vids.

  • Great vid Steve. I've got to get me a set up like that.

  • So, does anyone enjoy play left for dead ll?

I like shooting the Gerry can's and busting cap's in ZOMBIE'S cranium!

Cool Game. nICE urban setting for practice stratagies!

  • I like this video!

    Steve is a professional!

I agree there really no need to shoot anything past 100ft maybe with a pistol.

I like how Mr.Steve has doubled the usefullness of his weapon and he thought ahead of time choosing the best most economical route.

  • Bye Bye cranium, nice shooting Steve!

  • Great video! Well done. Even though its a Glock ;) 5 stars

  • Sorry 'truth' but you just crossed the line, its obvious that you need to find other videos to watch. I will not put up with comments like your, especially when there are children and young adults who frequent my vids. Matter of fact there is no reason for a mature adult to make such comments either.

I hope you find some other vids more to your liking elsewhere.

    BYE

  • He's trying to troll your channel, dont pay attention to it, your vids are always awesome

    -Paranoiddefense.

  • At 20 feet lmao

  • 20 feet cool, shot it at 60 feet or something at a distance

  • Dude there is no need to shoot anything with a pistol at 60 feet....

  • FBI and police shooting reports show that most 'gun fights' happen at a distance much closer than 20'.

So your comment is misplaced as this vid is geared more for CCW and self defense/protection shooting.

    :)

  • Yeap! With this guy I put more money into ammo and practice rather than body armor! LOL!

  • That is one healthy magazine.

  • great video Steve...... Love the Glocks.... even though I own A Ruger SR9 it is accurate and smooth but I like the XD M&P and Glock///

  • I should also suggest that if you plan on changing guide rods. Get a DPM...they work great and reduce felt recoil.

  • You look like your pretty happy going with a Glock. I can't blame you. It seems to fit you for some reason. As in...you look good holding a Glock if that makes any sense.

  • I feel better having a 40cal with ability to convert to 9mm than just having a 9mm platform. That flexibility may come in handy someday soon! Thanks for sharing.

  • ive got the glock 23 as well and like the ability to shoot 9mm at the range. However I would never trust a conversion barrel if the gun was used in a self defense situation.

  • i like how you keep emphasizing PLASTIC guide rod. lol....

  • great review as always

personally I am not a fan of the Glock

but if it works for you, fantastic.

  • mamma jamma LOL

  • Thanks for sharing. I was curious about the Lone Wolf Barrel, but I hate their logo.

  • It's like Bad Wolf from Doctor Who.

  • qwerty5k

Nice to know I'm not the only Doctor Who fan around here.
