  • I love your commentary, it shows you have been playing the game and have thought about it. That "torpedo-platform-jumping"-mock must be the greatest of your ideas. That part is really stupid. How did the crew of the Rickenbacker move around their vessel ICE, I wonder? Did they also do torpedo-platform-jumping?

  • 1 Shephard reborn is a Mass effect reference right?

2 I know this is going back a bit, but how did the crew get transformed cybernetically, I get how they were transformed biologically by the annelids, and I understand that doctor made the midwifes, but what about the hybrids, who added the machine parts?

  • 1. Actually, it's a alias I use since long-time ago, reference to HL:Opposing force

2.Hybrids don't have any machine parts, the only cyber-enhanced people ware the female staffers and cyborg-assassins. The latter ware created by Korenchkin and his crew in attempt to create a counterbalance for the Rickenbacker troops of General Diego. That was probably even before they found the annelids, the leader of Von Braun and Captain of the UNN Rickenbacker ware in conflict ever since the voyage started.

  • Contortionist rumblers; love it. I guess waypoints don't bother them so much :-)

  • ha nice bioshock reference

  • you know, I actually like the Rickenbacker. I thought Pod 1 was fun, Pod 2 eh...could have done with more upside down areas, pod 3 was way to hectic. I'm busy trying to get to the escape pod and dodging rumblers and turrets and spiders that I don't have time to look around. still, I think the Rickenbacker was an enjoyable experience.

  • Like i said in the video - for me Rickenbacker is basically lots of good ideas put together in totally incoherent way.. :P Still I like more then the body of the many ... :P

  • Indeed. When I played it the first time, BotM was good and creepy. However, it has little re-playability. Maybe they could have added multiple routes or something...

  • That was great! I can't wait for the next one because I love your commetaries and the way you use the game's exploits to your advantage.

    Oh and I'm subscribing

  • Fantastic video!! Keep them up!! And nicely put Hacker :) I hate to see that stigma still being maintained by others about video games. It actually represents a significant amount of naivety for the evolution of the modern world as well.

  • SHODAN insults the player. The player is SHODAN's Avatar. doesn't that mean SHODAN is insulting herself?

  • Heh, the robots are stupid enough to shoot each other...reminds me of a old arcade game called Berzerk i like.

  • does anyone know how to run this game on windows 7. I managed to get the cutscenes and sounds working but when i try to play it windows crashes.

  • For the record it was the computer using the weapon not you you just pressed a button telling the guidance system to fire it so therefore the computer took the shot XD

  • anyone knows what happens when/if you find dr.Marie Delacroix in cargo bay A.

She tells me that she have vital information for me but i didn't find her just hers audio log where she says: " If you are receiving this, I am already dead...."

  • You should go and look for her in Command deck's shuttle bays... or watch episode 30 ;-)

  • Well, ain't you just being a poet? xD

  • I like rhymes, they turn plain sentences into something more .. mystical:-)

With each verse having a rhythm, it is easier to preserve a constant tempo while reading, perceiving the flow of words much like a music piece.

Long have I waited for a song to hear,

as old ways went astray, once and for real

Time is nigh, for a change in thought.

She won't fizzle - Crystal, fail me not

  • Well, I have to admit that in everyday life I prefer the ancient stoic style at least for the way of speaking since most beautiful language is for the sake of veiling the total emptiness behind it, thus building the image of a good point where in truth there is none.

Of course you've proven in 33 videos about something as trivial as a computer game that your words are far from being empty (forgive me that little flattering xD).

  • lilbrothaaa. Many recent/modern video games can and have provided immensely creative abilities, musical inspirations.

Some can help reduce stress levels, improve hand-eye coordination, even exercise.

Also they have supplied increasingly phenomenal and emotional interactive experiences that no other media can match.

Also, in terms of age-spanning consumer rates/selling points, you couldnt possibly begin contemplate. That includes in terms of profit, dominating the music industry!

  • And finally, most video games have provided some of the most complex, beautiful and unique stories ever spawned.

So much for the common stigma that video games have ludricrous stories, eh? In addition, video games can have very unique relationships with story-telling itself.

Many directors die to buy rights to most VG stories, usually ending up in the production of bad adaptations of course :) But I think they will get better.

So, not so utterly trivial after all hmmm? :)

  • @Hacker45100 Just played some old RPG called Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, and well, you are so damn right and I was wrong.

  • I love your videos :p

  • As always, it was nice to see more. I really, really wonder how you will handle the situation now.

  • 3 points:

1.The people who made the game sound a lot like the ones at the UN.

2.I also wondered about Crocker's hair.

3.The dancing rumbler was indeed fun.

  • I cant imagine how you will destroy all these eggs that you have left in many enemy free areas. Right now I see no chance for you to take em out without your own hands.

  • Nice one yet again! ^^

  • *gasp* He used a weapon!...lol jk...great job Shepard!

  • Yes, sound and perhaps video too are better! I hope you didn't spoil the chance to wreck that egg with the "help" of that rumbler though... It would be sad to see that you've dropped the Pacifist's Approach. ;)

Great video as before. There really are 33 of these now!

  • I tried to make that rumbler whack the black egg for me ... many ... many times :P, I'm sure there must be a way do that, but ultimately destroying that last egg before the bulkhead, can't change what is bound to happen anyway :-)

  • AH! I started cheering when I saw this on my home page :)

  • Oh, this episode is simply impressive!

And hints towards violence are slowly getting stronger...

  • Great! It continues! :D Again top quality video.

  • The rhyming in the intro and outro remind me so much of the cutscenes in the Oddworld games. I love you for that :D

  • I heard Oddworld was fantastic game, pity I never really got to play it...

  • Woohooo :)! Love your videos mate.
