@Zwuechen it was part of Broadway Backwards which basically was where a bunch of big name broadway performers or celebrities who just supported the cause sang songs apposite their gender. like sierra boggess (ariel in Little Mermaid on Broadway) sang kiss the girl. so it was meant to be opposite gender

@charlotteeey07 this way predates the Hollywood Bowl production (it's not the Hollywood Superbowl, it's a stadium)...NPH played Mark in a tour cast long before this show, or the Hollywood Bowl production

@Zwuechen It's part of Broadway Backwards. They intentionally have men sing the women's roles and vice versa.
