removing the silencer takes away the restriction of the exhaust. u'll make more power at the down side of making the car loud. manufactures add the silencer as a way to help sell their exhaust to street guys

Removing the factory muffler from the exhaust makes your car slightly more fuel-efficient. But there will be a significant increase in exhaust noise. If you plan to drive hard and don't care about the constant loud noise, then replace the factory muffler with a sports muffler.

for street, there is a silencer you can add to the exhaust that brings down the db to around 78 with normal driving. this is slightly louder than the stock exhaust.

no, this track day was only to shake down the new suspension set up. since the car is for sale, i short shifted (shifted at lower RPM) every corner to take care of the motor. yes, the car has a spoon ecu with a raised rev limiter. and yes the car does sound good at higher rpm, but it wasnt a race so we did not have to use the upper portion of the power band. this car is so well set up, im sure if it had a single cam, it would be able to pull on at least some of the cars out there.

i own both FF and FR cars. this car out corners most FR drive cars. u cant compare a FF to an AWD car on a road course. i have driven the super lap battle class champ JIC / hankook tires EVO, and that car out classes this civic, but is about 6 times the value of this car. EG6 is an import classic. very much worth the money as these cars hold their value pretty well. stock Si goes for about 4500. the mods and set up is worth way beyond the asking price of the car.

thanks for all the good comments. i figured this is a unique way to market the car. i have a lot of pride in this car, and i dont really want it to go to just anybody. someone commented that some people that may be intrested in the car wont purchase it because its been to the track. those are exactly the people i would want to weed out. the car seriously has many of the right parts for road racing while still being streetable.

there is no roll cage to hit your head on, or make it difficult to get in and out of the car. 100% authentic to a japanese spec car. i will post pictures of the interior as requested in the following days.
