they're not related most of the time, that's why. Chrono Trigger is awesome as is no changes necessary even adding an anime intro and ending to it was too much it was a great game for the SNES, it still falls a little short of FFVI imho though.

Guys! If you've played the Snes, version DONT GET THE DS VERSION. It's a complete copy of the same game! I spent 40-50 dollars on it, To find out it was the same game. Thanks for reading Thi -Joe.

It does have those things, but other than that, it is unfortunately the exact same game. Thankfully, I hadn't played the original prior to buying the DS one, so I don't consider it a ripoff. :)

Their was a group of people independent from Square Enix remaking the game in full 3d but they were shut down by S.E. unfortunately.I think you can still find their website to check out what they had completed.

I've thought the same thing about what games I'd have for my kids I'll have eventually. I remember when I was younger and my dad pulled out his old Colecovision. I was in awe even after playing nes and snes. So if my kids are anything like me, they'll like it for it's gameplay over the graphics. So really are any of you really going to tell me that CT game play is almost unsurpassed, if at all???

From what I remember, yep. In the middle, you get killed while fighting Lavos. But a wormhole either rips open or Magus makes one and the rest of the team escapes. After that you receive a Chrono Egg or Trigger which you take to the top of a mountain to revive him at a certain time period. I beat the game, like two years ago so I might have missed a detail.

There was a re-release of the game for the PS1 that was shipped with a re-release of Final Fantasy 6 i think. The big difference how ever was that FF6 had Full-Motion Video cutscenes this time around, and Crono had anime cutscenes illustrated by Akira Toriyama if I'm correct.

It was released as a set called Final Fantasy Chronicles which included Final Fantasy IV (previous FFII in North America). FFIV was tied in with FFV. Otherwise, you're correct.
