Illinois Marine living in Japan. Always play this one when I have to fly back to my duty station from home on leave. Born and raised right across the river from Peoria. Lots of the pictures are VERY familiar. Gotta thank Dad for turning me onto Dan, else I'd never have a good song to cure me of homesickness.

Great song and artist. RIP Dan Fogelberg!!!! This touches me and makes me miss Illinois, since I even lived in his hometown Peoria for a very long time and before that Hoffman Estates!

I remember listening to this song long, long ago (40 years?). But until today I'd never paid much attention to the words which, in typical Fogelberg fashion, are wonderful. Better late than never -- thanks for the upload and for posting the lyrics along with it.

I served in the USMC for about 22 years and everywhere I was stationed, I listened to this album/song. It always made me so happy and I could always go home to Illinois in my head when I listened to Dan. Thanks for the post.

Thank you for this one, Bill, so very, very much! The first five seconds and you know Illinois is coming. Great video to one of Dan's earliest songs I heard by him. Talk about memories of the early Dan Fogelberg music. He was always! wonderful. Such great memories of listening to this, over and over and over again. Have to listen to it for the third time before moving on. Truly excellent! I love this!!!
