hey does anyone know if i can put a mamba monster motor into a stampede i know it sounds crazy stupid but just thought i might give it a go worst case ill have to buy a 1:8th roller but ye would it fit a stampede? keeping in mind its a 4X4 stampede not 2WD..??

that motor will not fit, that is unless you practically modify the entire motor mount and drivetrain assembly, which would be more than a waste of time and effort compared to just purchasing a 1/8th roller and installing it in there.

Great vid. Was very curious how a bigger motor would fit in there. Have you considered an extended chassis?

@sniperk2004 Only a few do, ones with a ton of offset, because of the beefy front knuckles & caster blocks.  Search my videos for "stampede tire" and one will come up that's about tire choices and it covers wheels too.

Jang whats your opinion of putting the Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder SCT System 3800kV in the Stampede 4x4? I am looking to upgrade but there are too many options. After looking at reviews and for price this looks like a good step up from Stock... What are your opinions?

what i would do is throw in a slash 4x4 chassis and driveline and then it allows you some more flexibility in mounting

hey jang i come across a pede 4x4 roller i have a 3000kv motor and 35a esc form hoppypartz would that be okay for just a little speed and offroading untill i can upgrade

@keeton520 I'd gear it with a 9T pinion and watch temperatures very carefully. That's way too little motor, and way too little ESC for the 4x4. It might work, but it's a risk.

When the slash 4x4 came out and they say they shortened they chassis. I was bummd thinking that an rx8 wouldn't fit anymore. Now I know its just gonna take work.

i would put it in front , just in front of the center shaft youll get less dirt and junk in the esc fan. cant wait to see how it works with that motor. rock on.
