  • Obama's speech nearly made me want to take a flying leap from a cliff.

  • As I was watching, with the hindsight of Walin' Palin' *shudder*, the irony kept building, and when it freeze framed on rove throwing his hands back, I think I plotz'd!

How perfect that the Master of Darkness himself would espouse the horrible accusation on Obama before the fact, but then Mccain did it after Obama didnt!?! Or, "The play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the King"

Awesomely hilarious video to watch with hindsight, to be sure.

    ChemC

  • "Previous comments that don't fit the message of the Obama campaign" TOO FUNNY !!! You mean like the one where he said Obama smells nice??? HA!

  • Ahh...another crazy racist idiot that lives in a dream world...cause we just don't have enough I suppose.

  • BOOORING dadarocks. old hat.

  • Well he kicked Mccain's ass

  • you really know wat ur talkin bout im english but i find this interesting

  • Good points, but those questions at the end? Why ask leading questions like that? Do you really want answers?

  • hah i love Joe Biden!

  • I think Biden was an excellent choice and indeed says much for the character of Obama (though any choice would shine vs Palin). Obamas' campaign has been much more positive than that of Mccain: I would like to know why they can't sue for deformation though?

  • Some guy named Bob Barr is also running for president

  • Well, a month later the answer to the question you are asking has become very clear.

  • jhumph40 , so what do you suggest skip having a president for the next four years? or better yet see if we can keep Bush for another eight years.

  • I think that both candidates are full of crap and both have flip flopped on various things. I don't like either choice that we have in this election and don't think that either candidate deserves to win the election and be nominated as the most powerful person in the free world!

  • steady4444 , I guess we can all hope and pray for the best I sometimes think we are all victims of both parties.

  • steady4444 , Although we have our disagreement I have nothing but the greatest respect for you sincerly. I enjoy our debate and I am happy that we can do this civil.I am enjoying our talks.

  • xfree, God bless you. Yea, me too. I'm lost for words.

  • steady4444 , You seem to avoid the question concerning Ayers teaching at a University. It is important because of the Guilty by association issue. Ayers did commit acts of terrorism 40 years ago. Why has the FBI the CIA and a University allowing this dangerous terrorist access to young influential minds?

  • steady4444 ,That is just another Mccainism his political future was not launched simply because he sat down with Ayers. How silly is that? His Political career was launched due to many people in the Chicago political arena. Many of these people were African American churches and political figures. Ayres may have been in support of some fund raising but there were Republicans on that board with him also.

  • xfree, Not avoiding, just not much there. Dad always told me, "your no better than the friends you keep". I didn't take his advice but did learn the hard way.

  • Biden is a grinch!

  • steady4444 ,A young man called the Larry King show last night and stated he was a student of Ayers at the University that he teaches at. He asked one of the McCain supporters if in fact that makes him a terrorist since he was one of his students.

  • xfree, This is good to hear that your defense is a one of thousands of student vs. starting a political future in a terrorist living room,. Your counter points are usually hard to respond (but not impossible) to, this comparison of yours requires more work.

  • The sorry campaign of John McCain is becoming more and more transparent. If all else fails lets Character assassinate. No clear plan on how to rescue the American people from a failing economy .

  • steady4444 , What is even more disgusting about the McCain campaign is his angry Rhetoric and the crazy mob like mentality of his disgruntled supporters. People screaming racial slurs, yelling "Kill him" while his empty headed puppet Palin fans the flames of division among the American voters.

  • xfree, Get over it, a lot of Americans love Palin. In talking politics at work their are a high number of people who never paid attention (neither Rep or Lib) are excited about her. Thats why the Libs don't like her.

  • steady4444 , The Ayers Obama association is making John McCain look extremely desperate and you know this. The American people are not concerned about Ayers. Particularly the FBI and CIA whose job it is to protect us from terrorist. Ayers teaches at a University in Illinois. Were you complaining about a Terrorist teaching young people at a university prior to this election? Was John McCain?

  • xfree, Ayers Obama association has nothing to do with McCain it has every to do with Osamas character.

  • steady4444 , Civil court and criminal court is apples and oranges. OJ SIMPSION is an idiot in my opinion. I was just making the point that the guilty by association tactic is getting old for McCain it's not working and it is extremely hypocritical due to the fact that he has had associations that were equally questionable.

  • I think Biden's "baggage" doesn't eclipse his huge contribution to the ticket. Sure he's said things over his career that won't perfectly jive. He couldn't possibly be a clone that agrees with every last aspect. Even McCain/Palin said in an interview that they disagree on some things, that they'd be "boring" otherwise

And some people love to pretend that being on the same anti-poverty board and hosting coffee for a run for office means Obama agrees with Ayers' actions 40 years ago

  • steady4444 , If we are going to go down this road then keep in mind every politician has character flaws. Unfortunately for you so do Republicans the question is to what degree? The Republican Party does not have the market cornered on morality.

  • Xfree, That road in not on my map. We actually vote for the lesser of two evils. Which one is less, Obama with friends like, Bill Ares, Rev White, lot more or McCain with a rich wife?

  • steady4444 , John McCain cheated on his first wife while she was cripple with his new wealthy spouse. What does that say about your character when you support an admitted liar and cheater?

  • xfree, Good point. But hooking up with a rich, beautiful gal is a little different than hanging with a terrorist.

  • steady4444 , Well John Mccain wished Kennedy well before the start of the first debate . He has expressed his admiration and respect for him.So what does that say about your character for voting for a guy who expressed his admiration for a killer?

  • xfree, OJ was found guilty in civil court and he did write a book on how he would have killed her. I put him in Obamas camp not McCains.

  • steady4444 , Bad analogy OJ was never convicted of killing anyone. That is just popular opinion and ones personal belief. Your characterization of Obama's relationship with Ayers as a friendship is misleading. This is a far cry from golfing with OJ Simpson.

  • steady4444 , Kept checking for your response hope you are well. I thought you were serious you know that there are a great deal of people who believe that sort of nonsense.

  • just got webcam again!

  • steady4444,Not only is the terrorist Ayres not in prison but he is teaching at a university how does that happen? I guess it wasn't a concern until the Republicans started being concerned about losing this election.

  • Xfree,

Ted Kennedy (let a girl die), OJ Simpson (made a girl die) are not in prison. It might say something about my character if I hang out with them.

  • steady4444 ,I think you associating Obama with Bin laden shows a lack of respect and a disdain that is over the top and dishonest. This is the fear tactics that the Republican Party is using that is going to cause them to lose this election. Ironic that Obama is the only one talking about taking out Osama and focusing more efforts in Afghanistan which is seriously lacking.

  • Xfree, Associating Hussein Obama with Bin Laden was meant as a joke, guess it wasn't funny. Not meant as fear either. Sadly their is enough truth for you to take it seriously. And Osama has been dead a long time. I'm still waiting for his next video production .

  • steady4444,

I find it laughable that you are exaggerating the relationship between Aires and Obama. Aires crimes were committed when Obama was eight years old. Aires was on a neighborhood charity board in Chicago with Obama and several others. Their relationship if you want to call it that was brief and had nothing to do with terrorism.

  • xfree, If O.J. Simpson killed when I was eight years old, then I can golf with him. How old would I have to be when the crime is committed for it wrong to be his friend?

  • What do Obama and Osama Ben Laden have in common?

They both have friends who bombed the Pentogn.

  • Obama Biden? sounds like a synonym for Osama Ben Laden

  • Personally I don't think of Biden as baggage. The points you outline are very valid. I've watched Biden on C-Span for years, and believe in his good character. Obama couldn't have picked a better Vice-Presidential running mate. I did like him for president, but, seeing this decision, I like him even better for Vice President. Biden is no-nonsense and won't hesitate to make his opinions known to Obama, and Obama has the intelligence needed to make a well informed decision based on solid advice.

  • steady4444 , I agree with you that they are gifts from God. Yet not everyone holds our religious belief system in regards to the existence of God. You can't always legislate laws based on religious beliefs. This gets us into very murky waters.

  • xfree, It's not about religious beliefs its about right vs. wrong. If its ok to kill an individual in the womb why is it wrong 60 seconds later out of the womb. God doesnt differentiate weather its murder, we do. Religion aside, its right or its wrong.

  • does god differentiate Iraqis? it ok to kill adults right. i do not like abortion but that MY opinion. i think it is worse to bring a child into the world that would starve or have no health care. or even worse grow up to believe a book written by barely educated men over 2000 years ago. 70 years after the facts would be something to live life by withut questioning its facts. tell me how noah got kangaroos and pandas.

  • ICE, You think fighting a war and abortion are the same idea? You think killing a baby is better than finding a way feed him or her? You think termination of a baby is better than providing health care? And you think people 2000 years ago were uneducated!

  • Killing is killing.I guess you think muslims should die due to the fact that they read a different book then you.if a baby cannot be fed or their diseases treated then maybe abortion would be more merciful.have you starved or suffered from UNTREATED Disease?I do not want to add to the population when i feel there are already too many people suffering already. And yes I think people where barely educated 2000 years ago,i also think that many are barely educated today.

  • Ice, Why would you think killing Muslims is ok because of their book? What makes you think if we don't kill the babies they will starve and have disease? Who is starving in America? Is there any suffering in an abortion? Your right, we need to teach the basic (right vs. wrong) to Americans today.

  • ICE, The population explosion was the 1970's Liberal cause. Remember the "Ice age was coming", "O-Zone layer disappearing", "Y2K", "SARS disease", West Nile Virus", now Global Warming. Send in your tax money you will save the world, or like a good lib force someone else to send in theirs, like anyone with more money than me. You know the rich.

  • steady4444 , There are options for unwanted pregnancies like adoptions and family counseling Even though abortion is legal and how effective has these options been? Not very in regards to stopping abortions. This choice will be a personal one be it legal or not and if it we don't have pro choice then you will find that the problem will be even more tragic than this ugly process we already have in place.

  • xfree, Your right, they are not effective. Abortion is the American way, (easy way out), also easy money in the medical field. It's more difficult to carry the baby to term then give it away. The women fall in love with their babies. So much easer to destroy, flush then go on with her life. Pregnancy is a gift from God not a problem.

  • Now the dirty campaign is going to begin! Where are the Dems pointing out in sleek commercials that:

    1. This looney who associates with Pastor Muthie (a lot scarier than the Weather Underground--we need that youtube vid in an ad!) will take over if McCain dies of his melanoma...he is 72 with a serious chance of a relapse

    2. Keating 5!! Keating 5! (Would the Repubs let Obama get away with Keating 5 or Pastor Muthie????????? NO WAY!!) McCain talks about honor!

  • steady4444 ,Listen I don't like politicians. Like many I vote based on what I feel is the lesser of two evils. Nether party has a perfect ideology yet we treat the process as though we are cheering for our favorite sports team.

  • This is exatcly what I've been thinking about myself when I tried to answer a question about why I support the Obama-Biden ticket. All the thoughts that initially came to mind weren't what Obama had done and said he would do, but all the problems I have with McCain-Palin and the Republican party as a whole. I hadn't stopped to really think about it, but politics is a lot like sports, isn't it?

  • Xfree, Good point on two evils. How about voting a God fearing person?

  • How about voting for the best person for the job and remembering that there is an impregnable, impassible and indestructible wall that will keep the harmful mythologies of contemporary mythology out of our political system? It's there for a reason, and not just because our founding fathers wanted to keep the hands of Rome and London out of our early government. John Adams, our second president, called Christianity and specifically the Cross "...that engine of grief...". Integrity in, God out.

  • steady4444 , cm'on can you really say that you have been happy where your tax money has been going regarding either of the two parties? Lets face it Democrats get you in the wash Republicans get you in the rinse. You have no control over this process unless you were invited to vote on the bail out today.

  • xfree, Did I imply happiness on tax? No way. Obama's pork spending (pay off to friends) average $1,000,000 per day vs. McCain $0.00 per day. What kind of change are you looking for?

  • steady4444 , Rush the degenerate Drug addict Limbaugh uhhh... sorry my friend I just can't take these self absorbed talking heads Lib or conservatives. It's always good to think for yourself.

  • Xfree, This drug thing is a rerun. I assume you have nothing new.

  • steady4444 . Bill O'riley? ROTFLMAO you mean that Loud mouth self promoting blow hard who was caught saying sexually deviate things on the phone with one of his employess and then lied to cover it up? I am not a fan of Barney Frank ethier another loud mouth blow hard.

  • Thank God for Obama and for Biden.

We shall walk again with other countries to make it a better world for all people, not just the greedy Rich!

  • ncit, looks like the class warfare is your game. Is there anything you need I can pay for? Make me a list.

  • ncit, We don't walk with other countries, they walk with us. About the bridge, Obama and Biden voted for it and Palin was receiving the gift.

  • Biden is interesting. He's done some great things, but fumbled a few times (ex; his attempt at controlling the crime syndicate called the DEA, a disaster).

It seems like many people want an extremist hate to come from their candidates. Is it a desire to see the same tactics used by leaders of the soft fascism movement (neo-cons)? Is that fighting fire with fire?

A valid platform is also integrity and maturity in a candidate. Maybe some americans are okay with that idea?

  • Karl Rove is a douchebag/ dog people

  • Rove is a criminal. why does anyone put him or tom delay to ask opinion without pionting out OBSTRUTION of Justice in the cia leak case.

  • I agree, evil access in action! Karl Rove

  • ice, Rove is a very smart man who got bush elected. Did you see the evidence on the leak case? Is your opinion based on emotion or evidence? You should watch Fox News or listen to Rush.

  • steady, yes rove is cleaver and EVIL, i respectfully disagree about rush and fox being a source of news. They are conservative spinners. with one goal to divide US. I am a reg republican voted for reagen and bush. but the results of the last 8 years have me very angry. for 6 of these years they had the house and senate presidency and the supreme court. not once did abortion come up. maybe you should get you news from several sources not just the ones who tell you what you want to hear.

  • nickblain, Just wondering, are you a Lib?

  • Im a progressive, you are a neo-consertive?

  • nickblain, What's wrong with being a Lib, I'm a conservative and will admit I don't know what a neo-conservative is. What does a progressive believe in?

  • you're an idiot, you haven't notice that Bush lied us in to war? or palin claimed to opposed the bridge to nowhere from the beginning? she actually supported it til congress cut funding so she lied and then she kept the money that was left over from the project. so don't call Biden an asshole without looking at Palin and calling her a lying bitch.

  • Pro-Life is just like it sounds, Life. Babies are living human beings. Obama voted to insure half born live babies could be terminated, killed, slaughtered, or murdered. He is a bad person who does not deserve to Govern the USA. Rape is a insignificant part of the abortion issue. It's mostly used as a lazy birth control method.

Senator Obama and Biden both voted for the bridge. Governors didn't vote for it.

  • steady4444;

So you think Obama and Biden are 'bad people' because they agree with a practice that is supported by the laws of the United States? Or is it because you don't agree with them? I'd also have to disagree on the idea that rape is "an insignificant part of the abortion issue". You tell a young woman who was brutally violated and impregnated against her will that she is now forced to carry his child to term, constantly being reminded of that horrible act everyday she is pregnant.

  • I would call anyone an asshole that exploits their dead so called "loved ones" for political gain! Why would Biden just tell the truth? Why did he have to make the story about Chris Dunn being a drunk, when in fact it was his own wife that caused the accident...I mean what's the big deal in Biden just saying my wife either didn't see the truck or ran the stop sign?... It was a tragic thing, yes, but, why discredit another man...Biden is an asshole, political or not, he's got a mental issue!

  • Over here in Britain we've been given the impression that Biden was chosen to win the election and tip the balance in states unsure about: 1. Obama's experience, and 2. Obama's connection with "blue collar voters".

I think you have made a much better analysis - Biden is Obama's LBJ who won't help him win the election but will help him govern.

  • I agree he has experience that obama doesn't have. also he is doing the thing VP should as in attacking McCain allowing Obama to be positive.

  • 1. Yes I think Obama has been positive while McCane has been mostly negative.

    2. I thin that bring in Senator Bidden will ultimately outweigh any baggage that he has for the years he has in the senate.

    Keith

  • Nobama is the only person left on earth that thinks the surge didn't work. Lets put him in charge of the greatest military force in world. Did you know the Leader of Hezbollah said his pick for US pres is Obama? Why?

  • Thats like something I saw in a car the said Al Queda loves Democrats thats shicken shit and you know it and I bet you heard it on Rush or Fox News.

  • nickblain, Im confused, are disputing the fact just blaming the messenger?

  • sorry my mistake. I have heard the Republicans claim that Terrorists love Democrats and it has gotten on my nerves. After reading articles the reason that Hezbollah probable said that is because Obama is willing to talk to terrorists and dictator countries instead of just threatening them, like Bush and McCain have done.

  • Nickblain18, 14 UN resolutions telling Syria to get out of Lebanon, Bush told Syria to get out or we will remove you by force. They left. Obama is like UN (talk is cheap) and the word of Bush is like a strong tower. Which person would Hezbollah respect? Terrorist only respect strength.

  • steady4444;

The surge is the ultimate evidence that everything we were told about the Iraq invasion was utter bullshit. "We'll be greeted as liberators", "Sunni and Shia Muslims will put aside their sectarian infighting to embrace a new democracy", "once they vote everything will be allright" do you remember hearing all that on the news outlets? Now there's a civil war that required us to send more troops...more troops into a country that supposedly greeted us as liberators and has democracy.

  • McCain swayed a lot to the right. He picked Palin who is way more conservative than he is

  • drumkid, Yes, good move.

  • sounds a lot like rove was talking about mccain there

  • Mcsame is interested in winning the Iraq war as though this were some kind of sporting event. What we are fighting is a religious philosophy that will continue to fester as long as people believe that America is the great evil.We can only discourage them from further attacks but no matter how many we kill it will never stop their religious ideolgy. They will continue to teach the next generation of terrorist and we will surely revisit this type of conflict in the future.

  • XFREE, So, what do you think? Surrender? Iraq it the second best military real estate in the world. Saudi Arriba is first with our troops are their too. Governments do work in the middle east, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arriba, Israel, Turkey, Georgia, and a lot more.

  • Iraq had no military able to fight outside of Iraq and had no WMD's there real threat is terrorist groups in Pakistan and Palestan and Saudi Araba

  • Would we be friends with Saudi Arabia if they had no oil? What else is keeping them from being #1 on our "Sponsors of terrorism" list?

  • TheGunTre, No, oil makes them a key to world economic/energy freedom. Terrorism is not their governments agenda, selling oil is. Don't try to over think it.

  • steady4444;

Economic/Energy freedom? Is that why BOTH candidates are pressing the need for energy independence away from foriegn oil? Saudi Arabia is the source of 1)17 of the 19 September 11th Hijackers, 2)The majority of radical muslim clerics now pressing Sharia law throughout Europe and leading anti-west rallies, and 3) One of the worst women's rights records in the modern world?

If the supply of oil in Saudi Arabia ran out today, our bases would be vacated by breakfast the next morning.

  • TheGunTre, 17 out of millions of people doesnt make the Saudi government bad, We had Timothy McVeigh, William Aires ( friend of Hussein Obama ) didn't make out government a Terorist organism. I don't think?

  • XFREE, where have you been? Did you see O'Reilly ask Barney Frank to be a man and tell the truth.

  • OReilly speak the Truth, Boy that's a joke!

  • steady4444 , If anyone viewed the recent interview that Palin gave to Katy Curic has to realize that she is not a person that can take charge if (God forbid) something happens to Mr. Mcsame. This was one of the worse interviews any potential VP ever gave and that is why the Republicans have put a muzzle on her for the most part.

  • steady4444 , I don't care how anyone spins this. Money will have to be spent to redirect things in this economy Republicans or Democrats it does not matter. What matters are the American people and those who need relief from this crisis. The conservatives fear is that money will be allocated back to the people they stole it from. I have no sympathy for Wall Street only for the Americans who have suffered and will continue to suffer because of the failed policies of George W.

  • XFREE, Last I checked Wall Street is taken out to the wood shed. Government is the problem not 97% of the good companies in Wall Street.

  • steady4444 , do you really believe that the John McCain campaign does not have some of the same players that were involved in some of these failed Financial companies now involved in his bid for president?

  • XFREE57, No, can you.

  • steady4444, Most people don't want a hand out from the government the problem that you don't seem to understand about this Method of capitalism is that money yields power it also can sway elections and that in turn affect the working class. This bail out is a result of some people abuse of the American Capitalism system. Unfortunately the watch dogs that we elect can be bought.

  • XFREE57, I think most do want a gift, look at Hillary's campaign. Baby bond, college payment, free health care, tax cuts for you from the rich. These gifts someone else pays for. Like Steady, Xfree, not the rich and not the poor who don't pay tax. Can you think of gifts from Obama? I can.

  • McCain claims he will fix the economy by cutting goverment spending? LoL Is this the same goverment that is spending billions on a conflict that we don't need to be in right now? Is this the same goverment that is spending 700 billion to bail out wall street?

  • This bailout is for Fanny and Freddy, GSE Government Sponsored Enterprise, The Gov (mostly Dems) told them to loan to everyone. Steady and Free will pick up the tap on the bad loans. Savings and Loans scandal 2. The CEO from Freddy is Obamas right hand man in the campaign. This should ring a bell.

  • steady4444, McCain started name dropping to show how he has met leaders around the world. Yet the world is a much more dangerous place since the Bush administration so what credibility does he have with any of them?

  • steady4444, Mccain muscle flexing in regards to Iran, and Russia was ridicules. He can bark all he wants but the country can't afford another military bite. As Obama stated a weak economy makes for a weak military.

  • steady4444 ,Sorry but John Mccain dropped the ball on that debate with Obama. He did not show that his so called foreign Policy experience would lead our country in the right direction.

  • McCain made Noboma look weak. Palin looks better than Biden. Yep, winning ticket.

  • Vote these greedy clowns out of office enough is enough people!!John Mccain and Palin will be the worse voting decision you can make.

  • bankrupt economy, High unemployment, war, inflated gas prices, Home foreclosers, Jobs sent overseas. Eight years we gave the republicans and now they want eight more years of greed.

  • XFREE57 , Republicans will never admit to wrong doing everytime they get exposed they blame liberals.Give them the white house they screw it up at the end of the day it's the libs that caused all the worlds problems.

  • I love how the republicans blame the democrats for the banking crisis when in fact they were in control of the house for six of the eight years. They were in control of the white house for the full eight. How has it worked out?

  • eademe , Amen!!

  • Mccain picked someone he thought would help him win the election regardless of her ability to be VP. Obama picked someone he thought would be the best VP for America. Palin would be a disaster in these trying times....Mccain... you forgot to put country first...

  • Obama's choice was clearly about governing.

If the Dems can not frame the character of Obama properly then they just may loose despite the fact that they have the issues on their side.

  • steady4444 , At the end of the day sombody has to pick up the tab for this war and this ridiculas bail out and we all know who that is. I am not suggesting that this is the fault of just Republicans but it is my belief that we must vote on change and I don't Trust that John Mccain is the man that can inspire the American people to fight for the change that is clearly needed.

  • steady4444 ,Capitalism and greed are two different things and it hits a wall when a few possess most of the wealth. This chokes out small business and leaves the working class slaves to the greed of Wall Street.

  • steady4444 , The only economical freedom being enjoyed now is by the criminals on Wall Street and the ceos who rewarded themselves with millions while these financial companies are going under.

  • steady4444 ,With all due respect The war has not caused economical freedom. In fact it sends the message that we will remain dependent on foreign oil even if it means risking the lives of Americans

  • Ih8Hippies69, Well if you think that's bad John Mccain just recently said that he thought the economy was fine. Now he is running around like he is in charge. He was clueless then and he is clueless now.

  • Those who take the McCain/Palin ticket seriously should not be taken seriously.

  • jono1028 , God forbid Mcsame drops dead in office and suddenly we have Sarah clueless running the country.Yet you claim you want experience.36 years in the senate I'd say Biden has a tad bit more experience than Palin.

  • jono1028 , I am by no means suggesting that Obama is the answer to all of our problems but my God why in the world would you vote in a guy who has been in agreement with Bush 95% of the time? enough is enough with these people.

  • jono1028 ,You are not getting experience in the Oval office with John McCain nether men have ever been a president. What has the so called experience of Bush gotten us? a questionable war, a near recession and now a 700 billion bail out of wall street. Why should people be that stupid to reward the republicans 4 more years of a mess that they help to create?

  • XFREE57, The questionable war has secured economic freedom (free flow of oil), why do you think Russia has taken control of Georgias oil pipe line. Also protecting our alias, Israel, Saudi Arabia. The bank problem is the Dems creation with the Rep looking the other way.

  • I'm not biggest fan of Joe Biden but he's a fuck of a lot better than Palin.

  • PVTSolis, better is a generic term. Bet you can't give me two examples.

  • How is Biden better? The man thinks FDR was President in 1929, and gave a speech on TV about the great depression. Everytime Biden opens his mouth something stupid comes out.

  • McCain Thought spain was in Latin America and was hostile towards us. And he thinks the economy is fundementally strong...ummm, yeah right

  • nickblain, Are you getting your news from the Dan Rather news network? You are more off base than most libs. Do you consider yourself a Lib?

  • Yes McCain's political campaign has been incredibly negative. Just look at his address to the nation where he took Obama's campaign and turned into "That's not change we can believe in" Obama's choice for V.P. is a good one. He is a man with experience who can temper Obama's lack thereof.

  • leifoh9012 , What do you like about Biden? Does he speak for the youngest Americans life? Does he think your hard earned wage is patriotic for him to distribute? What example of experience are you referring to?

  • How about being chairman of the Senate of Foreign Relations Committee. Negotiating talks with Iran? By distribute I'm guessing you're talking about my taxes which is distributed like everyone elses. Yeah, maybe he feels it's patriotic to use taxes to pay for crime prevention, better schools and such.

  • leifxoh9012, Your right Obama is a little more experienced on Russia than Palin our VP pick. Did you see the debate, McCain is much better. How much cash did he get from Fanny and Freddie the heart of banking mess...

  • steady4444, are you arguing that because McCain did get campaign contributions from people who are responsible for the current economic crisis he is somehow a better candidate? Are you mentally handicapped in some way?

  • leifoh, Did you get that statement from Dan Rather? Yes I've wondered about my mental condition in that I spend a lot of time trying to educate slow learners on simple things of right and wrong.

  • go back to school you missed a few lessons on thinking

  • Forgive me for wanting experience in the Oval Office not the Office down the hall.

Obama is like the BEATLES, he will come in and make people ooo & aaaa then take their money from them.

Obama says 95% will get tax break, NEWS FLASH, 65% actually pay income tax. Is the 30% difference just getting a check for no reason?

    McCain 08

  • I think he is a little bit more than the Beatles as he is the one who is going to look at the global threats against America as opposed to one single threat in Iraq. Since im in that 65% im glad ill get the tax break instead of some rich corporate goon who may get a giant tax cut, sell off sub-prime mortgages and send our economy in the shitter, while running off with all the money. OBAMA 08

  • Ive heard the class warfare talking points before, everybody knows someone with more wealth and should pay for my benefits. Didn't President Kennedy say something like, ask not what You can do for my county but what can someone else with more money do for me.

  • Hmm, right-wing extremists keep trying to claim they are moderates and obama/biden is extreme left.

Do they think we will accept their BS? Maybe they assume everyone thinks like them and will follow any offered political paradigm?

  • Well, again, this isn't my election to poke my nose in, but my girlfriend and I have always thought (well, since the campaigning began) that they should've had a Hinton-Obama "ticket", since in that case Hillary would have had the experience, then Obama could run in the following election. But what do we know?

  • steady4444 , well to one American to another let us pray that we get thru this turmoil no matter what happens. It is my hope that all is well with you and yours thru it all.

  • XFREE57, Thanks, and with you, God is in control and we all are a part of his plan-dream-life.

  • steady4444, Its a ashame that there are these two useless parties having us choose sides when in fact a great deal of people are moderates. I don't have all liberal views I don't like extremes when it comes to issues facing our country.

  • XFREE57, Your hitting the ball out of the park again, two useless parties have been in control for hundreds of years and look at the mess they have created, they have the best health care in the world, a retirement we could only hope for, work a few days a week, automatic pay raise unless they vote to rescind it. These are high lights only, it goes on and on and on..

  • Useless parties yes. But what do we do? Start Over?

  • steady4444 , My humble apologies for any disrespect you seem very genuine and I was rude to you please accept my apology. I have to say you made some very valid and intelligent points about this issue.

  • XFEE57,Wow, Thanks, lost for words again. Thanks

  • steady4444 , I am against abortion. Yet my fear is what will happen if we outlaw it? I really believe most abortions are not performed because of rape or molestation but because of individuals who are irresponsible and use it as a form of birth control so I understand your frustration on this issue.

  • Yep, I'm lost for words.

  • steady4444 ,Personal responsibility and strong family values can help cut down on the amount of abortions and teen pregnancies. If abortion were becomes illegal you will find more babies dead in dumpsters and people using Unsanitized methods to abort their unwanted babies.

  • Right again. The problem the people think its a problem instead of a baby. 80% to 90% of the women shown a ultra sound decide to have the baby.

  • steady4444 , Partial birth abortion may be an ugly way to abort a child but is any method? Dead is dead no matter how it is done. It's like being a little bit pregnant if the end result is the same what is the diffrence? If you are against abortion then be against it regardless of the method used.

  • You are right..........

  • steady4444 , Uh ... I hate to break it to you but abortion is not on the top of the list of concerns in this political election. Neither party has done anything to over turn Roe versus Wade and my feeling is they never will.

  • I'm quite decided. And abortion helps with population, for one thing. Secondly, imagine if a person was stupid as a teen, got pregnant. Then, she aborts it because she still can, and goes on with her life, ending up... I dunno, curing a kind of cancer. Without abortion, we'd still have that kind of cancer.

  • What, killing babies helps with population. So does kill the old, hey, their using all my health care. I'm 50 years old and all for killing anybody 49 and younger. Also helps with population and more health care for me. How about you?

  • I'm not saying that I myself would have an abortion if the time came... it's just an option that should be open if need be.

And I'm fourteen. Thought I made it clear I couldn't vote.

  • I'm glad somebody finally agrees with me. Everybody is like: Obama scares me, but I've replied with, "When it comes to character, MCcain has been giving off a "I'll do whatever it takes to win" vibe, while Obama has been giving off a "I want to earn the right to win."" Damn I wish I could vote. Four more years.

  • Your undecided, just choice life. Obama voted to continue the producer of terminating half born babies and McCain is against all killing of these young people.

  • steady4444 says vote for pro-life how about vote pro-choice so people who are raped can choose to not have the child of their rapist. also why should men decide when the women have to carry the baby to term and give birth to it should they have a choice of wat to do? It is their body after all. You wouldn't want to be fixed it is the opposite for women they should be able to choose to keep or abort the child.

  • nickblain18;

I agree, I'm seldom in favor of perspectives or legislation that take away people's rights, especially in the case of the pro-life/pro-choice debate. That's why it's called "pro-choice", because we are in favor of having that freedom of choice. Start taking away freedoms like this one and the downward inlcine will be established, ready for more of our freedoms to be argued away by small minded bigots and pushed down that slope, to disappear into the abyss of a theocratic fascism.
