one of the reasons why i loved the felice brothers was because of their old sound. The reminded me of alot of the folk, blues, and rock musicians i listen to. to me this is a step back from the quality of music they released previously and to me this just does not stand out but just blends in to alot of music being made right now
I'm so glad Saravuth is in this video!! I've been acquaintences with him for a little over a year while busking the parks and he is an incredible person to have been grabbed up in this fine video. So satisfying to see.
@ThomasWesleyStern I’m glad you spotted and appreciate him in this vid. For those who don’t know Saravuth, he is 2:50 into the vid mouthing the lyrics “a party of political elite.” If you ever see him on the Street sit down so he can school you in a game of chess and chat with him a bit too. He is indeed an incredible person.
@Zeetana1 - Celebration, Florida is a huge change for the boys for sure - they've tried things their fans never would have expected. The sound is varied and for a first time listener unpredictable and in your case upsetting. As someone who loves their music both new and old, I urge you to give the new album a fair shake.
Maybe start with “The Best I Ever Had.” “River Jordan” and “Dallas” may also be a good way for you to get into it. To me – this album is proof that the Felice Brothers are great artists capable of producing a much wider range of music than we all expected - I for one don’t want my favorite artists to deliver anything I expect. Hoping you can get into Celebration, Florida.
@MrIanCinco Absolutely agree No point just going over the same ground Some people say the Felice boys sound like Dylan (which they don't) but they are similar in that they keep moving on, to places no one expected. This is what I want and is the mark of great aritsts. Towards the new frontier!!
Really unexpected sound I gotta say. Good to see them experimenting. That outro will be in my head for a while. Seeing them in Dublin in December. Can't wait!
This video really makes me want a cigarette

Ok, he still sounds good, but this new music style is such a big disappointment to me and it sounds like crap compared to their previous material. :(

I don't know if she's a friend of the band or what, but notice how the chick lip synching at 3:01 is ON the groove. Very cool.

@festerization Yea, I love her part. She was really into it. Not a friend of the band, but a friend of a friend of the director.
