been looking for this movie for some time...glad to have finally found it! :) I'm probably the only one but thumbs up to anyone who found out about this movie b/c of david mccallum! lol thanks for uploading!
You see the button for the starter is on the dashboard at 7.24, so what is the big silver button on the floor, under the pedals, at 8.13? Does anyone know?
@paulmurphy42 Not sure if that button is for the air brakes or for headlights/main beam/dipper switch.I've seen a web site for these trucks, maybe you'd like to check it out...I've started to upload some old films, have a look!
Thanks so much for putting this on...any chance you could upload another film starring Stanley Baker? It's THE GAMES (1970) starring Michael Crawford and Stanley Baker, directed by Michael Winner.
Love this gem.... it might look a bit outdated...but it is a ripper yarn..a movie that could very easily be re-made to today's standards......Sean Connery's first movie role I believe......a great cast - all young at the time, but instantly recognisable faces... Get in, shut up and hang on......enjoy!
Great cast.Great film.interesting that it took American directors like Endfield and Losey to see the potential in Stanley Baker.Interesting too that this film and Juggernaut(1974 and also directed by a non native)are the two most successful attempts by commercial cinema to define Britains uncomfortable post war mood. These films did a better job of articulating the challenges facing UK than any number of Harold Pinter's pregnant pauses. They look better and better with every passing year.
(1) Nice film. Gritty. Beautiful B&W.
(2) I prefer McCallum's hair puffed up like we see here, as oppossed to the flat look he adopted later on.
(3) This was shot in 1957 and I see they had Foosball in England at that time. But I didn't see Foosball in the States until the early 1970's.
(4) I think he went after the wrong girl. I would prefer the dark haired girl who had the hots for him.
(5) Thanks for posting.

The other actors are very good, but Patrick McGoohan is awesome.

Thanks for showing this one. Imangine, two guys who turned down a chance to play James Bond battling it out with 007 himself on the sidelines.
