  • u look HOT!!! lol

  • Takes more steps between each swing as well, it will assist in lightening your footwork (most ryu call for two steps with the execution of every single cut--each foot moves once). Your handiwork with the blade is nice however, in that you are actually treating it as an EDGED weapon. Good form overall. Have you ever tried sparring with bokuto? I ask because this demonstration is very nice, but like so many techniques of various ryu, the movements would have to be modified a bit for actual battle.

  • Not bad at all for the usual skill-level of youtube's personal training vids. I'd agree with tubed upon the point of carrying more of the strength of the swing in the wrists rather than the arms. Lean forward into the swing less as well, it makes your footing a bit unbalanced (although I understand the camera could have made you feel eager--I do the same thing when being recorded).

  • lol, cool

  • your steps are considerable, and your swings are a little uncontrolled, but the form is good. your wrists are lacking a little strength- take shorter steps, not strides and stomps, slide into position, and swing firmly and accurately with a much more taught arm. remember, it's the blade's weight that makes it travel, not your strength.

  • and ur arms help ^_^

  • lol those too. but as i said, with the arms it's more about accuracy and tight muscular control. it only takes a little push to make the blade swing, but a lot of concentration and form to make it hit the target on the money.

  • wow ur like pro or is this just commen sence im confused?

  • lol i'm no pro, but i know some professionals. personally i've trained in english styles for about four years, but i've been away from trianing for about 8 months. i just know this crap :) and too much of it.

  • LOLS i guesss thats a good thing ^_^

  • i want to learn those moves =D

  • lol they arent that hard to learn, ive been doing it for 2-3 years, once u learn the foot work and all that crap the strikes are easy =P

  • because those arent too basic.
