I freaken hated this I whooped the chimeras ass with the worrior but in the end I was to lazy to use my items thinking I could go to that healing room but died and restareted before I could save GGGGRRRR

Someone probably made that Chimera. I wish the game told you the entire history behind that high tech city in the sand, considering all we have to go on are Myria's conversations.

@Terrakinetic Well actually I think a good story consists of half mystery and half truth. I think the story would be: 1. In ancient time, the old civilization gains control of very powerful technology. 2. All tribes and monsters are results of their experiment on biological modification. 3. There was a war, which kills the old civilization, and turns half of world in deserts. 4. Myriz the most powerful biological weapon, which was born during the war, claim herself god. No places to type more.

Man I remember fighting Chimera, I used Ryu, Rei and Garr for this one and it was freakin' tough without a good healer.

I had a lot more fun going True Kaiser than Warrior or Myrmidon. Although, Focus + Aura is pretty ridiculously powered. A lot of people mistake "Full Power of the Brood" as "Most powerful Gene", which isn't necessarily always the case. But the fact that you can utilize Ryu's human abilities in conjunction with dragon abilities sounds a lot like "full power" to me.

I used to prefer the Warrior form until I saw the actual stat increases from Kaiser. With the right masters, it's not such a costly form considering the amount of damage you can do.

I mean 53 AP just getting Kaiser form? Than 27 AP each round? Than do Shadowwalk 8 AP with Shaman's Ring 6 and another 4 AP but still.. I find Warrior the mighty dragon form all time low AP just 8 AP to Dragon Form and 4 AP each round! Than using Aura all the time wich is 20 AP each round and I use Shaman's Ring each time the perfect Dragon Form. So I'll just call Brood Gene: Unleashes full waste of the Brood. Instead of Unleashes full power of the Brood.

You know what's cool at RPG games when your still low lvled and stuff. It makes to game so much better having a harder time at bosses and always hoping that you will win and always thinking when he's dead! But once overpowerd you can't think of al that stuff. Only thinking of well this is gonna be so easy and he's dead in no time using Kaiser ( what I find the wasted dragon form ever )

My group was:

Ryu lv 36/Rei lv 36/Momo lv 34

Attack only with Supercombo(Ryu) and Shadowwalk with Rei after 7-9 minutes he died :-P btw. great video

hmmm, I used Ryu - Kaiser, Rei - Weretiger, and Momo did all the healing etc. Wasn't so bad, except Rei got turned back to original form and Ryu got the last hit (like always).

nice fight, thought teepo was actually easier than this guy. its that stupid paralyze move. made me game over like 20 times before i beat it...by the way ryu looks like some kind of vampire in that dragon form lol

i think it is but it would be pretty hard to find, hopefully not for an absurd amount either...you'll enjoy it if your able to play though, its a classic RPG that most RPG fans like. it just didnt get as much attention as FF7 or anything because it came out at around the same time and everyone went apesh*t crazy because of a new final fantasy game.

I didn't think he was so hard.... but that was only because I did some uber training back in the desert and got Ryo up in the 40s. lol.

Oh well. He was still pretty tough. I had my way with him though. (Um..... don't take that to far.)

"Vodka Shot" (NTSC version) is the same thing as "Ginseng" (PAL version). Same thing with different names, depending which version you have...

Kaiser Dragon doesn't make you immune against his paralyze.

It goes through immunities.

You try casting 4-5 times and see how much damage monsters do to u lar. Not like the game's trying to bluff u by keep saying 'Def increase' and nothing happens. Lol. Go try urself.

actually in most boss that doesnt use any sanctuary... i always use shield with ryu and momo but i dont mind letting rei use the war shout for em ^0^

Personally, I think that this is the hardest boss in the game... I had to lose all my AP-restoring items so that Ryu could keep transformed for this whole fight... and Paralyser is nasty... The cad.

uhh,..ur playing wrong...when you use shield..it raises ur def. just once in a battle so..if you use it again nothing will happen also ryu's focus have the same effect for only once...come on...are you a weak or something??what's with your shield thingie if you char. is only 1 hit! come on..

Protect/Shield stack multiple times.

Focus also stacks. But only twice.

And yes i always play underleveled.

hey..using shield many times makes your character stronger in defense!!! not just once!!!! but as many in turns u can!!! i got saved by using that many times as i can in the battle of the shromish!! coz he gives headcracker so much!

how do u get Ygarasill to become your master? like how do u give peco a wisdom fruit? just talk to him and thats it or wat?

Yggdrasil has the following requirements: It needs a Wisdom Fruit (if you have one in your inventory, great), and the only one that is able to commuicate with it is Peco. Anyone can apprentice to Yggdrasil. Peco talks to Yggdrasil, Yggdrasil says it has a headache and wants a wisdom fruit, select yes to give it up, and your all set.

Yggdrasil teaches the following skills (and levels needed):

- Sanctuary (2)

- Recall (5)

- Shield (8)
