i've been thinking of getting one of theese beautiful premium kits, but i can't dcide on mmp, mrp, bmp or brp? the differences is as in mentioned order: 4 ply maple- 6 ply maple- 4 ply birch- 6 ply birch, i ofcourse play metal, and i have the older version of the 6 ply birch atm, the masters studio birch. any ideas?

@nonhasthisusername id personally go with the bmp, just for quality and nice low end tone. if you want a high end tone, go with brp. i woudnt go with anything 4 ply... it just sounds too thin to me. hope this actually means something.

@HandShake44 do you mean the mrp? cause the bmp is the 4 ply birch and you said you wouldn't go for it? if so you were basicly reading my mind, i gotta admit the mmp sounds beautiful but it just resonates to much to hear the chops when you get on a higher speed, i love the kind of vintage sound you get from low tuned maple, it's awesome, but in mixes maple seem to blurr out a bit if you know what i mean, low tuned birch has the cut tone and body for high speed, or what do you think=?

MasterCast die cast hoops, stainless steel tension bolts, “Golden Ratio” air vents for increased attack, and “vertical pull” SR-017 strainer. (i talked to george on his forum, he told me it came with the kit [pearl masters premium 4 ply (6 ply floor toms) maple kit.])
