  • And what are the "standard" tyres exactly?

Could almost be a Goodyear/Yokohama advert.

  • Very interesting

  • Are you at risk from traffic noise? I know I am, it's the silent killer... well I say 'silent' but obviously it's not, although if it was it might be even more deadly...

Whatever, buy our expensive tyres because they stop quicker and we lined up all these VW Golfs to prove it see.

Yeah, yeah don't worry about the fact we tested the Yokohama twice in the wet to make it look bad and said it was the worse when it's the same, or that all the other tyres are all Goodyear's, it makes no difference.

  • and what about winter tyres on dry conditions? they are so noisy!!!

but the most noisy, are many drivers with suv cars, they are choosing a mud tyres. 4 mud tyres in 255 or 265 i think can pass 10 normal cars

  • Intresting mesurements there - 5 dB is a big difference

Also good that the doesn't seem to have less performance - the braking distance where even shorter with the quite ones

Tire noise is even the part of traffic noise that's has the worst frequency spectrum, so cut down on tire noise is a really good way to make traffic noise less disturbing.

  • good and interseting

  • It's the road surface that makes the difference.
