keep you cue as parallel as possible to the table. if you elavate your cue, and hit the cue ball with "maximum" power, you cue ball actually "hits" the table and when it travels to the rack, it creates a upward jumping momentum

that is due to the elavation of your cue.try to keep it as level as possible.
