  • A bass doesn't have to be able to sing extremely low to be a good bass. Jim has amazing tone and projection, and he is an incredible singer!

  • You're looking at four absolute virtuosos. Fred Farrell is a barbershop legend. Jim Henry is the best barbershop bass ever. It can't be done much better than this.

  • Jim Henry would probably be tied with Jeff Oxley, of course. :-)

  • I'd be a liar to disagree with you, comicsuss. Mike Slamka is an absolutely incredible lead; he's a great coach, too.

  • I disagree, Fred is good, but the bass isn't the

best one. He's not the lowest either. All i'm sayin'

is that this bass is not the best one.

  • @comicsuss

Yeah and you don't even need to mention Slamka or Guyton

  • what a pleasure. anaheim is yours!

  • Ok, so these guys are just getting better and better. Wow! Saw them in Nashville and thought they were great, but now, just wow! A few observations, Jim is just a beast, so resonant! Mike just floats beautifully. Starting at about 2:53, Brandon just nails the 5ths with Jim! And, boy can Fred belt some high thirds. And, together, they are just a well oiled machine! This makes my day!

  • I stumbled upon these guys as they stopped to sing a song on Main Street at Walt Disney World. I got some footage on my channel...I love how they sing this song.

  • Frickin' buzzy bass! Jeez, Jim!

  • God what a blend.

  • This is fun to listen...
