Wild Squirrely Visitor Comes Inside For Lunch

Those sqirrels can be really clever, I havd lived in this subvison for over 25 years and a squirel finaly moved in last summer and daily loves to tease my dogs by running along the fence top. We have a hazel nut and the house along me has a couple hazel nut trees so their is plenty of feed. I worked with guy who got newer pickup & took it on a fishing trip and squirels got under his hood and chewed on the wiring & shorted out his wiring harness on his way back home, & even he laughed about it.

@toogawnjawn Animal Planet has them on the top ten smartest animals list. I got some wood to follow some plans online to build a Squirrel House. They still won't let me pet them but maybe someday :) That is funny. I'm guessing that it was a rare event for the Squirrels to do that to your friend's truck. With lots of twigs to chew, I wonder why they did that... I read that city squirrels in attics can run out of wood to wear down their teeth, & may begin chewing on wires.
