Man ur head gasket is chucking to much oil into the combustion shafts dude nice car just get a bigger brass head gasket and get those piston shafts cleaned and sealed up and that mofo with be a beeeeeeeeaaaaasssst lol keep it up btw get a head rebuild and cleaning as well just incase theres cracks :D get more boost yah

Volvo did not make the D24, it's a Audi/Volkswagen engine that Volvo put in their cars. I have one in my Volvo 945, a TDI. It has run for 510000 km now and still going strong. =)

Check your oil often the dieselsmoke will make it a bit sandy (you´ll feel it between your fingers, when you´re checking the oil)

They turn fuel pump up or replace certain components (plunger assembly) to inject more fuel and fit bigger turbo and keep it cool with big intercooler...yum.

They run lumpy when fitted with high flow injectors sometimes as the spray pattern an low flow isnt very good.

The size of the nozzle on the injectors is suited to the fuel flow, a big hole with only spray well at high fow so to speak.

In a diesel the injectors screw into the hole where a petrol would have plugs, they have chack valves set to release at certain pressure also.

U get pintle and nozzle type injectors for diesels.

Fuel is injected into a swirl chamber inside cylinder head or directly into cylinder the chamber leads to cylinder.

that is still injectors, and giving higher flow of diesel fuel to the engine is a main component of tuning diesel engines

WELL done! have you run it on a dyno? it sounds you may be near 200hp.

it's misfiring at 0:38, it may be due to early injection.

did you mod the governor so it won't turn the fuel amount down over 5.000rpm?

what size pump piston are you running? 11mm?

because they're very easy to turn up the fuel volume on, it's just to turn a screw on the outside of the pump to increase the fuel so much that the engine creates plenty of black smoke (unburnt fuel) if you dont make any other upgrades on the air delivery side..

the stock pump is capable of delivering fuel up to 160-170hp, and the engine has 122hp stock, so it is a well oversized pump, there ain't many diesels that have such a big pump stock.
