The main thing i remember about him, was whenever we went to his house he'd give me and my sisters each a hibiscus flower and stick them behind our ears...

My grandfather died when I was 6 yrs old and I am now just shy of 48. I still remember him so vividly and the special moments we had together. We sang little songs, danced on a grand staircase of an old victorian house. But the most special thing was when he smoked his pipe he would have me stick the tip of my pinky finger into the freshly packed bowl for what he said was extra sweetness. I still think of my grandfather even though he has been gone for many years. I love you Grandpa.

I love this song and I feel your pain, I lost my grandma in august of last year and I also had a very close relationship with my grandma. But I am glad I was able to be with her everday of her last 2 weeks of life to care for her. I miss her.
