Being "transgender" is by it's very nature deceptive, those who engages in that behavior are deceiving the rest of the population. And trying to deceive themselves that they are something that they are not, the opposite gender. Now having said that, I do think that we live in a free country and people should be able to dress how they like as long as they are not harming anyone else.

Your saying that it's deception to bring brain sex, primary and secondary sex characteristics into alignment - that pretending to have congruent brain, primary and secondary sex characteristics is being honest in your world view?

@SisterSunnshine I am swory to say but you are wrong. In the case of a transexule living in there birth gender is the true deception. If they have felt they were the oposit sex as long as they can remember than they are that sex not what they were borne. trye gender is not what is between the legs it is who they are speritualy. as for the rest of the transgender comunity we are not necicerily trying to decieve mirly pass as to not be descrimonated against.

If I dress up as a duck will they accept me as a duck? that would be disrespectful to ducks. to call a man who dresses up as a woman a woman is disrespectful to women. If I pay an unethical doctor to surgically make me appear as a duck does that make me a duck? do i have duckie rights? can i marry a duck and adopt human children? and can i raise them to be ducks? and to believe that duck-human marriage is not acceptable but right? What a confusing world we are creating for our children.

All i want is to float on the water and fly with the other ducks...I sleep on a feather pillow...and when I see ducks mating it really turns me on ( even tho with some species it amounts to gang rape). Don't be a hater or bigoted...just accept me as what I am and give me equal rights. Allow me to "marry" the duck that I love and loves me so we can adopt your unwanted children and teach them our kind of tolerance and the beauty of trans-species love.

A transgender person's brain already identifies as female, theres no "trying" involved. Studies show differences in the brain. They have a LEGITIMATE medical condition taken as seriously as intersex conditions, NOT someone who thinks they're a duck!
Its not realistic for gays cuz its not a medical disorder.

Your argument can be used parallel to someone who is intersex.
An intersex person with ambiguous genitalia, gonads, or chromosomes, will most likely only identify as ONE sex, NOT both.
So you might as well start pondering whether there should be a pill for INTERSEX people, so that they can accept they are "BOTH" sexes instead of just one. THERES NO REASON to respond to such a STUPID idea about a pill that changes the gender of WHO you are, which lies in the BRAIN,(intersex or non-intersex).

Your analogy is about as irrelevant as concluding that an intersex person("hermaphrodite") will never be "cured", because they only identify as ONE sex and want to be reassigned as their preferred sex. And?
Hormone treatments and sex changes for both intersex and transgender individuals (with consent) are proven to "work". If you don't like it that we change our bodies, get over it! It is shown to effectively treat both intersex and transgender people.

A transgender person does NOT have a perfectly functioning body.
Having a physical condition of the REST of the body DOES NOT FURTHER VALIDATE the condition.
Having a physical intersex condition does not mean you get a "free ticket".
Your brain identifies as a gender regardless if you have male, female, or ambiguous genitalia. Just because someone is "different" does NOT mean it is "wrong".

Not once is there a medical condition of someone who is "part duck".
ANYONE diagnosed as transgender is thoroughly checked for signs of schizophrenia.
Anyone who has ever been documented for "thinking theyre an animal" has been shown to have other symptoms that lead to a conclusion of schizophrenia as a diagnosis.
So your analogy is impossible to EVER be compared.
NO one is diagnosed "part human part duck" or anything species-variant.
Transgender and intersex people however ARE gender-variant.
