it may seem cruel, but i think what everyone is forgetting is that chickens are certainly not capable of the whole mental awareness of a human, namely - if a human was dumped into a pit of other humans before being put onto a conveyor belt with noisy machinery, we would think 'something is wrong', whereas it is almost certain that a chicken would be unaware of the doom it faces. It is only the way it is portreyed in the video that makes it seem so shocking to humans.

@zepharias The whole process may seem 'wrong' to caring humans such as yourself but the truth is nature itself is equally as aggressive, and its not quite justified to say that chicken slaughter is wrong just because we tie them up and slice their throats open with revolving blades, 100 per minute.

Having said that, free choice, and increasing demand is down to human greed, and the increase of it. You cant stem the forces of supply and demand in a world like this at the stage its at so far.

Really sad what they do to these chickens. I understand we as humans are meant to eat meats such as this, but its just completely cruel how its done. As stupid as this sounds, if I was in that factory, I would open the cages and all the doors and let the chickens go...they'd get more yeah, but at least some would be saved........I guess I just have a heart when it comes to animals.
