Why are some people so angry towards Congressman Ron Paul? I think we should cut his supporters some slack. Their only platform is the internet, seeing as the day to day news media only covers what's profitable. While the rest of America is hearing the "news" about Obama's new puppy, these folks are speaking out. I must say, I really admire the fight in these people. And besides, where are all the nominations for McCain and Obama? Didn't they "inspire" millions to vote?
You ass holes go around smearing all the other vids thinking Time magazine would put your joke of a candidate on the cover? You turds are pathetic. There's no way any of you ass hats have a job, all you do is sit by the computer dreaming of Ron Paul's old balls. Get a life you jagg-offs.
Jacob, my understanding is that Time chooses their POTY according to who has been the biggest newsmaker, or who has had the most profound effect on the news or world events. By that measure, it's probably Obama. I like Ron Paul, but how has he been the biggest newsmaker? We barely heard of him in this election. You said he effected politics. But how? Can you elaborate? Thanks.
How many times have you heard a democratic candidate say that they'll fix healthcare and education and social security? How many times have you heard a republican candidate say that they'll cut spending and lower your taxes? There is NOTHING new in either candidate's message. But how many times have you seen a republican candidate say they'll end the IRS and the income tax, take our troops out of all foreign countries, allow the free market to take over all social programs, etc? I rest my case.

None of which has anything to do with the criteria by which Time decides the Person of the Year. I mentioned those criteria above (and these are Time's stated criteria, not mine), and Paul doesn't qualify. You're arguing that he has a different and admirable message. I agree. But that has nothing to do with the Time POTY. Again, you said he "affected politics so dramatically". But how has "saying" he'll end the IRS and income tax (as opposed to doing so) accomplished this?
The LSM (Lame Stream Media) blacked Dr. Paul out during the SELECTIONS and it looks like Time is still doing it.
We can not find a place to vote for Dr. Paul on their site. Did we miss something or did the LSM continue their TREASON against We The People?

Dr. Ron Paul 2012
Or better yet, let's just place him in office. Time for a REVOLUTION. Our Founding Fathers said we need one every 20 years. It is long overdue.
