  • I feel like I kept hearing a heartbeat or something.

  • very helpful! thanks so much!!

  • Why is it +7 @3:22???

  • @ghosts897 because after he he added the hydrogens, that's 8+ and 1- charge (from the manganese oxide, i believe it would be called). so the charge for that whole side is +7. i was confused at first too cuz i thought it meant the charge for that polyatomic ion was +7. u probably figured it out since u posted a month ago, but other ppl might see this :)

  • how do you know what the charges are?

  • okkkkk

  • thanks this is majorly helpful!

  • Hey I am struggling through AP Chem as a junior in high school right now. My AP Chem teacher is amazing, but some parts are still unclear with what she's taught me so far with Redox. Thanks for making this video. I just watched it and now know a little more about half reactions and the balancing of the electrons and charges. I appreciate you making this video. :)

  • i like it i have a question can i put oxygen in the react side

  • @Diegochiva0825 Hi diego. No you cannot because there are already four oxygens on the reactant side, and you have none on the product side, so it is the product side that is imbalanced not the reactant side. Which is why I put 4 H20 molecules on the reactant side...Hope this helps

  • @Diegochiva0825 you can only add a H or H2O

  • Our professor went over this very quickly to cram it in before our Final. Your video really explained it well. I might have a shot at it now.

    Thanks!

  • dude you made me laugh hard throughout the video. I have a final in a few hours but this is definitely gonna help. thanx

  • Just to clarify H+ is H3O so you'd have an imbalance in Oxygen's at the end if I'm not mistaken.

  • @Kidwai03 you're wrong.

the hyrdronium ion H3O+ is an important part of acid-base reactions,

it is a commonly used ion, and they're is no imblance, as it is a + ion not a neutral ion

so the end is 100% correct

  • thanks so much !

  • amazing explanation, thank you Mr Nick, are you revising whilst doing this?

  • Sorry dude that´s what you got to do if you don´t want to end up cleaning toilets

  • isn't that wrong at the end?

  • i thought this was a khanacademy video. i was disappointed when i found out it wasn't. but then i watched it anyways and it was really helpful. then i was happy.

    so thanks : )

  • this is wrong.

  • @bok342 how ?

  • fuck
