  • @tjrtherocksponge : Barenaked Ladies recorded Gordon there in 1992.

  • Funny. They have said many times that prior to Time Machine, they've never played this live. But I remember seeing them do this, on the Moving Pictures tour. So for over year, I thought I remembered wrong. Until now.

  • Eraserhead movie poster behind Geddy...that movie gave me brainfreeze when I saw it....Fucking great upload of one of Rush's best of the best,

  • I heard this last night in Chicago and it was fucking amazing!

  • there was elvis ,beetles stones n rush

  • @yarborg1 It is spelled "Beatles" not beetles! By the way, there is nobody better than the beatles!!!

  • i want to hear a whole grace under pressure tour

  • don't feed the eyeglass in reverse

  • Still my favorite Rush tune of all time. So glad they're playing it again. Thanks fro posting this.

  • Rush is pure Genius.

  • I saw them the night after this bootleg in Milwaukee. I just remember the parts with the Taurus Pedals sounded HUGE live! They also had some cool backdrops of London and NYC...

  • Neil, Alex, and Geddy are geniuses

  • greatest band in the universe......

  • Just a couple of Jewish kids from Toronto. Amazing how far they took it!

  • Eraserhead is a fucking... awesome... fucked up movie!

  • geddy i love you so much i could cry

  • I GOT A FREAKING SIGNED PICK FROM ALEX LIFESON!

  • Camera Eye ROCKS! Thanks...

  • I've been a RushNut forever! Actually 4 years. My dad introduced me to them 4 years ago when I was 8. LOVED THEM! I had 2112 on my iPod but I thought it was some kind of techno so I had no idea what it was untill I knew Rush

  • Awesome performance.

  • Fuck Yeah -- TCE

  • I am a crazy woman Rush-Fan.... and although I hate the synth in it, the drums are so freaking tight, and the climax is well... very intense. :)

  • @fedirds

No way, the synth drenched style of this song is what makes it so unique!

  • @MattyHild agreed anything geddy touches is amazing

  • I started touring with the Hemisphere's years-----some great shows back then

  • @fordgtcobra lot's of great shows since the hemispheres tour too!

  • cruising round in a trance

  • Can't wait to hear this live in June!

  • @VonTrousers i see them this friday !!!

  • why isnt this song playing all over te radio stations!!!! lol this is my new favorite rush song

  • Rush will have to perform this song in this year's tour (Moving Pictures in its entirety). I heard they don't like to perform this song - is that true?

  • @ozonatedman Yeah, it's true.

  • @ozonatedman Well, it's not exactly exciting for Geddy Lee, that synth line is boring as crap. It's two keys over a synth machine.

  • @GangstaLink still a great song tho-my all time fave of theirs-even for a girl lol!!©

  • @AthenA2ptO A woman rush fan? Are you from earth? :P

  • @GangstaLink ahahaha yeah ever since i was able to listen to the radio(this was back in the 70s obvso that tells u how old i am lol) and i first heard spirit of radio they have been my favorite band-i know there are some women fans, probably not that many tho lol

  • @GangstaLink

FUNNY!!!!!! I'm harcore RUSH fan since 1981....My first concert and seen them many times...Bought ALL the albums on vinyl until CD's were released :-) This WAS definitive of the early 80's era of RUSH...Love the synths used in that time but really love Hemishperes style moog more. True there aren't many of us "ladies" who really idolize RUSH...I'll be at he Boston show in September with my 15 yr. old Neil Peart loving son.... WOOOHOOO!

  • @TheTraci1968 I wish my mom was a Rush fan!!! lol

  • @TheTraci1968 Thats funny.Im 42 and recently went through an extended negotiation to try to get my mom to go see RUSH with me.I just wanted to share with her something that was so formulative in my youth to me becoming the man I am today. She's heard all the songs,as I pretty much tortured my family with em in my teenage years. And still do.My moms really cool and loves music and concerts, but she's more into Southern Rock and Newgrass.I just couldn't close the deal.

  • @FoulOwl i am going with just my dad friday !

  • @GangstaLink ... Fire was cutting edge at one time. Besides, he played bass and sang like he had his testies tied in knots for oh some 30+ years... RUSH is by far the best band ever... Hands down..

  • @ozonatedman As delayed of a response this may be, that is true. Rush hates performing Camera Eye. Its too long and is a beast on footpedals and other synth work. Plus Geddy can't sing that high anymore unfortunately :(

  • fantastic song.......

  • it would be cool if they bought Le Studio and went back there for glory's sake and nostalgia, not to mention put together a wicked album likme Perm Waves!!

  • That sounds like an incredibly awsome Idea . Permanent Waves had a certain Mystical thing still almost , not as much as earlier stuff than that, but solid and melodic as usual, I wore that vinal outttttttt

  • @ACELLOFAWARENESS

    Le Studio is closed IIRC

  • @ACELLOFAWARENESS i wonder if the eraserhead poster is still there. ;)

  • @ACELLOFAWARENESS i,m actully living 25 kilometres from there ,and now nothing going there!!!!!!what a shame

  • @TheGounzz 10-4 on that. we know it was shut down long ago. if i hit the lottery i'd try to buy the building and restore it!!! it would be like OUR own Abbey Road!!!!

  • @ACELLOFAWARENESS -I believe Le Studio was destroyed by a fire in 1992.=(

  • @ACELLOFAWARENESS It'd be cool, but unfortunately, Le Studio no longer exists. I had heard the property was sold and the studio was torn down. Someone else posted a reply indicating that it was destroyed in a fire.

  • Incededably SWEET POST Thank you very much for getting it out here

    Sincerly

    Constantinos

  • I remember having this on a vinyl bootleg called Rush'n Roulette.

  • I still have that bootleg

  • @ruleta74835 I have that bootleg!!!! I got it back in 1980-something at a flee market.

  • awesome thanks

  • Thanks for posting this.

Is this from the Chicago show (March 1st, 1981)?

  • Yep, it is. There are two Bootlegs of that show. Chicago, IL 3-1-81 - The Definitive Edition and Exit stage Right. This is exit stage Right bootleg.

  • Thanks.
