  • im really blown away

  • 16 year olds cant put 2 bucks aside a week for a few weeks to buy a DVD, if they dont have the money to go buy it right now? How is it that I could do that when I was a child, and didnt have to go snatch my entertainment?

It's called a decent upbringing - not enough kids are getting it, when they believe it's fair to steal other peoples property - digital or otherwise.

  • @hcvang No, thats not the thinng.

Am i actually going to be listening to the song that i just saved my money for in the future?

No, i am eventually going to get tired of that song and it will be a waste of money...

  • I'm sorry weird old lady who thinks google is a type of dog,I can't here you over the hum of my computer.Man these multiple piratebay torrents sure are dragging my PC down.

  • Whereas Dawkins can guess about anybody's age and education based on disagreeing with a comment... get real, moron.

The "piracy will be the death of all creative media" shtick has been around since the days of the VCR, and look - still kicking. They have to adapt, and are [slowly] but a new obstical is just that - an obstical that can and will be overcome.

  • Shit this bitch don't know which way is up

  • LA IGNORANCIA DE LA SOCIEDAD DEL CONOCIMIENTO

    Robert Kurz

  • WOW WHY THE FUCK HAS THIS NOT BEEN ON ANY news, goddamn fucking medai!

  • There is something wrong about downloading for free w/out the rights owner's permission, call it what you will. But it's not like you are wronging ONLY the rights holder. You are wronging yourself.

Don't believe me? Wait 20 years & tell me how wonderful your free music/movies/art is when it's too mediocre to care about, made by amateurs - for idiots.

Fuck what the 16 year old thinks. If my parents had let me set the rules of the house when I was 16, I'd have been screwed.

  • but its mainly the big industries and artists that are scared by piracy... the people that hold the little guy down. Piracy has helped some artists make more sales...

  • "Don't believe me? Wait 20 years & tell me how wonderful your free music/movies/art is when it's too mediocre to care about, made by amateurs - for idiots."

Hyperbole, not substantial fact nor logical analysis of how piracy impacts media.

  • @XidianPan

You mean just like now? Fucking dumbass.

  • @XidianPan sorry, didn't see the quote marks

  • @SkormFlinxingGlock

Yes, it will be just like now. Dumbass.

  • Come on. When you actually take a minute to think to yourself why is piracy wrong, you realises what a load of BS brainwashing you have. The sense of guilt you have when you watch a copied dvd or play a pirated game is just an example of conditioning of our minds. If you enjoy listening to the music, watching films, playing games, using software then how can it be wrong? It simply isnt, we all need to wake up and concentrate on sorting this world out.

  • They need to find a balance. Maybe they can allow people to build up credit to use on torrent websites I dont know to download things. Every time someone buys a album or something you get some credit towards use on a torrent website to download. If the EU starts allowing ISPs to spy on people they go against everything they stand for, data privacy and human rights laws etc. They Contradict themselves.

  • Maybe they wouldn't get their asses kicked so hard by piratebay if the prices on music and movies where fair..?

    PIRATEBAY FTW

  • we want to control your entire life - including your enternet-alternative news and communications.

  • Why should we have more invasive legislation in order to protect certain companies and their negligent business practices?

Internet pirates are merely exercising their power as consumers. If they don't get reasonable service according to the current technology, they will take their business elsewhere, in this case to the Pirate Bay.

Is piracy wrong? Probably. Should the government violate people's rights in order to kiss the record industry's intellectual boo-boos? Absolutely not.
