Many years ago this song was my intro to Tim and I immediately went out to get this album. My journey of discovery on youtube is neverending. There is so much material by him.
@Lafikhandro If zou mean you just found out about Tim buckley, try the album 'good-bye and hello'. Beautiful music and amazing lyrics. I think it's a really strong album. One of my favorites...
Definitely one of my desert island albums. "We had those bed springs squeaking all night long". "Now I love me...I love a black woman". "Get on top of me, woman. Get on top, let me breath."
@williammelvin "Get On Top", "Move With Me", and, actually, I think "Get On Top" again. Every song on that LP is a winner, though. You really can't go wrong listening to the entire thing. Enjoy! Respect from Michigan. Power to the Peaceful.
with Tim Buckley, i never felt obligated to take him seriously. if he was angry or offensive, it never stuck on me, it's just who he was. he could sing any song to me, and i knew it was real for him. but i knew he never put anything on me, and needed me. i never knew him in person and never met him, but ever since i found his music, i've felt needed by him, probably because i need to be needed by someone like him.
@mlestoll -Profound statement. I remember my sister buying this album when it came out. I was hooked with "I went down to the meat rack tavern and find myself a big ol healthy girl", always been one of my favs. Very tragic that he died @ age 28 and his son Jeff @ a 30.

Thanks for this, I had this album on tape 20 years ago, long gone...... I used to listen to it all the time. I have to get this album again. Simply amazing (just as Jeff's music is).
I saw Tim Buckley in 1974. Got some good close up photos. Love love love him and his son. What a terrible loss, they are both gone now. Love you both.
It's not just that Tim Buckley had an excellent voice, its how he used it. He took his voice to weird places in creative ways most singers wouldn't think to. There's humor and all kinds of emotions in it. The way he sings things often emotes more than the words he's actually saying. Really good song, lots of pathos to it-- especially in his vocal performance. I love this.
@sethyeah so true. he explored and experimented with his voice, so much. few singers since him have tried to do the same, and in my opinion, the only to come close and even surpass him was his son, Jeff. why more singers aren't trying to do more things with their voices is beyond me. as a singer, tim and jeff are two of my biggest inspirations, and i try everyday to achieve the range and boldness and experimentation that they had. just stunning, this man is.

Positive attitude = good bines

I listen to the vinyl version all the time. His voice is haunted and tear-jacking at an incredible level. What a furious genius...
