Ok...Well, there was a radio show called "Johnny Rotten, the punk and his music". It was broadcasted on BBC 1 in 1977. Lydon played some of his fave records. Most of them were not punk records. 99% in fact.

with Tim Buckley, i never felt obligated to take him seriously. if he was angry or offensive, it never stuck on me, it's just who he was. he could sing any song to me, and i knew it was real for him. but i knew he never put anything on me, and needed me. i never knew him in person and never met him, but ever since i found his music, i've felt needed by him, probably because i need to be needed by someone like him.

It's not just that Tim Buckley had an excellent voice, its how he used it. He took his voice to weird places in creative ways most singers wouldn't think to. There's humor and all kinds of emotions in it. The way he sings things often emotes more than the words he's actually saying. Really good song, lots of pathos to it-- especially in his vocal performance. I love this.
