Excuse me People, i am new to this activesync thing and i am just so confused on how to connect the PC to the Phone, can somebody please tell me how i go about doing this please???
Hello. How do I establish a connection between my dash and computer? I connected my dash to the computer with a USB cable. I installed the getting started cd. It just says "connecting" forever. Can you break it down so that a novice like me can understand what to do? Thanks.
Theres a very easy way to transfer files back and forth. After you create a partner ship using active sync, via usb or bluetooth. Open MY COMPUTER, then at the bottom it should say MOBILE DEVICE. If your phone is connected it will show your device and all its folders, from here you can send docs, music, anything! only send the files to your device and not the device's memory card because it doesnt work sometime that way. Hope this helps, it works on my cingular 3125,8125 and t-mobile dash.
you have to go to t-mobile's website and download active sync which includes the drivers. there is no other way than that so just listen to me. i have this phone and i must say that it is horrible. i cant believe i even payed someone $20 for this when they were just gonna throw it away their self. horrible phone, slow, laggy and downright no fun unless you pay the extra $23 after tax to use the internet. whats the fun of connecting to hotspots?
I hate my dash because when I log into youtube it always comes up with the "hello you either have java turned off or you have an older version of macromedia flash player". I want to blow up my dash!!!
I just got my tmobile dash and I tried to bluetooth the music from another tmobile dash to my tmobile dash but I dont know how to send the music from tomobile dash. I will appreciate it if you can help with that.
The 3rd party opera browser works but it's jerkey (this is what I've read, not tried). I have a plugin for TCMP to play .flv movies and another app that can rip them from youtube straight to my phone. It's plays very well :-). Try googling it.
I am able to connect to wifi and surf, but I cannot find out how to transfer files via wifi.(I want to be able to just drag and drop files on the laptop into the dash, w/o using ActiveSync)
dash's arent awesome. haha. and wifi syncing is no longer supported...to transfer files i would suggest making an ftp server on your pc...and then using a program such as total commande ce to browse the files and copy/move whatever!
FYI: I posted a bit more detailed response for DragonPacer and other on my personal blog last week (see video for the URL since YouTube doesn't allow URLs in comments)
I had an SDA and was able to active sync with bluetooth. it was a little frustration getting it to work, but the best way I found was to erase the partnership already established and start fresh once you have the com port set on the PC via bluetooth
I now have a dash and has it working via bluetooth within 3 min of turning it on for the first time

Did you figure it out? Using active sync, you have to set up a partnership with windows media player; from there you can sync all your music.
