Hey dave, I'm 13 and bought a F4U corsair from nitroplanes but it was underpowered so i just took it appart lol. I know how to fly rc airplanes and i have realflight g4 and im pretty good at flying the planes, any 4-channel brushlesss powered rc airplane u would recomend for me thats durable and not a cheapy but under $160? Nice vid by the way!
Check out my video(s) on the FMS Sky Trainer. Definitely not underpowered and one heck of a good flyer and is also available at nitroplanes. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Awesome video! 5*! I am saving up for this plane and am wondering how you release Yoda. It doesn't have the parkzone/hobbyzone X-port, does it? You and Nightflyyer rock at flying and making videos.
You guys do some really fun stuff with the fishing and the parachute, that reminded me 7 years ago when I had this rocket which went up 700meters and then dropped down in a chute and we followed it across the fields and we lost it...but then we saw something on a truck and climped on the truck and there it was.
Gotta do something similar to my T-28 soon :) That is cool guys, love your videos from both Dave and you Jeff!
Haha...he went waaaay past anyone's roof. He ended up clear out in the middle of (what was) a bean field. I think next time I'll drop something a little heavier, with a little less wind. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Greg. Yoda was a little easier to find than the turtle was, but a little bit more effort. Not that walking through 8' high corn wasn't effort........anyway, thanks for the comment. :-)
Thanks Dave. I'll have to find something a little heavier to drop next time. Either that or wait until there's no wind and try again, but then when is there ever no wind around here. LOL.
It was headed northwest, so South Dakota would have been his next stop. LOL. A little more altitude and he might have made it. Thanks for the comment.
I'll be looking forward to a video in the next couple of weeks. I just recently watched a video on a steerable parachute/skydiver. I don't know if Dave or I will ever get one or attempt it, but you never know. Thanks for the comment and rating.
Not very difficult to fly, unless you are flying in heavy winds like we tend to do. If you've flown a model airplane before, I'd recommend it to anybody. It's an all around fun plane to fly. Thanks for your comment.
Poor little Yoda i bet he got all worried when you were not there when he came in to land bless him lol,but at least you found him in the end and i hope he don't mind jumping out of the T-28 again lol, great video Jeff and got to be 5* in my book as always.
Thanks for the comment and rating Startazz. Always nice to see a comment from you. I'm not sure if Yoda will drop again, unless I drill a hole in his butt and add some weight to him. I'm just glad to have found the parachute. He wasn't scared a bit when I found him though...the 'force' was with him. LOL
Hahaha...very funny. It was headed northwest. I'll wait for a good southeast wind and try again. I'll let you know when that happens, then you can be on the lookout for a UFY. (Unidentified Flying Yoda)
Yeah, at night and early morning sometimes. I think we rank 2nd to Chicago in wind speeds. (I don't know that for sure, just guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised)
I have never actually flown a model helicopter (with the exception of on a simulator) other than co-axial. (Blade CX2, Blade MCX, Blazing Star, and Esky Hunter) Co-axials are great to learn on, if that's what you are interested in.
wind sounds really heavy the plane would crash hard

Winston51249 2 years ago
have you thought of putting a hook under the plane to catch the chute when it gets close to the gound so that you dont have to retrive it
shortkilledlives 2 years ago
LOL. Nope, never thought of that. That'd be a good trick. Thanks for the comment.

Hey man, nice drop :-)
I can't wait to get my magister so I can drop my RC parachute, a couple more weeks and it should be here and ready to go.
You and Dave should be able to make a steerable parachute contraption, lol

LOL.
The parachute was found, so it'll have better flights in the future. (hopefully) Next time with something a little heavier in tow.
Winston51249 2 years ago
Even if it looked tempting I would speak against trying to pick it up again in the mid air as suggested in the clip :)

Pilot error. I didn't figure in the weight to wind ratio and misjudged by a mile. LOL
