  • Your check engine light is on... Probably because Jeeps and turbos dont get along too well. It's like trying to shove the square block in the round hole. Jeeps just aren't made to be street machines.

  • @Silvestris420

the engine is strong enough to take the load. i've done turbo/4.0 hybrids before. they EAT gas, bus they last. chargers are MUCH better to put inside a jeep though.

  • @NMPros I know the 4.0 can handle it, theyre near indestructable. But there's a whole lot better engines out there to make power out of.

  • @Silvestris420

but hey this guy gets mid-level power and an indestructable engine. he wins in my book.

  • Nice Effort, Its just funny when you see this after having witnessed a Supra doin 0-60.

    from one jeeper to another.

  • is that a 10 second 0-60?

  • @handz2die4 it was 0-60 in 7 sec , since then i did more tuning and got it down t about 5.5 sec

  • has the turbo affected the off-roadablility at all

  • im not impressed my jeeps as fast as that stock?

  • ............and it is still slow

  • I'm thinking about doing a DIY kit on my '95 GC.. Is there anything you recommend before I do it? Have you had any problems since you installed your kit? Thanks!

  • imagine that!

  • It says "Check Engine" lol

  • my stock 98 cherokee sport 4.0 does it faster with 200k miles. so im guessing you dont have a L6 in it

  • I want to turbo my 04 wrangler with the 4.0, can you recommend a company that i can get one from, and did you have to do any customizing? i have the money for one but cant find a kit.. any info would really help. email me at chevy_jeepman85@hotmail please if you would

  • i have a 95 cherokee sport 4.0. everything is stock except a highflow muffler, air filter, porting and polishing, a dual plenum intake and a rebuild throttle body. 0-60 from a standing stop in 5.5 seconds and sometimes 6 depending on how flat the ground is and how many fat people are in the car with me. does good for a 15 y/o car

  • @drippinblood28 This video is old I havent re done it cause i dont have my video camera any more. But I can tell you that if your GC can run the 1/4 mile at a 12 flat and 100 miles an hour and pull the front end off the ground on the launch then I will belive you.

  • @Thumpnauto my 5.7 (200hp) wrangler with posi rear does it in about 5-6 seconds

  • haha it make the tires churp in 2nd haha sick!!!

  • Supercharger would have been better, jeeps are all about the low end

  • Since this video was taken I did some tunning. and the wrangler is alot faster! I ran it at a track and pulled some impressive times, the best was a 12.6 @ 103 mph in the 1/4 mile. and for those of you that think you stock 4.0l is faster I would like too see it. running at the track I have raced stock mustang GT's and smoked them. and have video to prove it!

  • my N/A cherokee would destroy this wrangler? somethings not right

  • You maybe shaved 1 second if that off your acceleration time...not impressed. I hope you bored out and made your internals stronger.

  • wow its hard to get my jeep to go that fast because it goes in the damn woods

  • Yeah. well lets see what it runs after you have the speedometer corrected for the bigger tires. I can't believe that you think your jeep is faster with the bigger tires and lift.

  • Hmm, Somebody Was Using My Account, I Never Commented On THis Video.

  • Cause, that's what i like to do. Log onto someone's acount and post stuff on videos. Genious.

  • this has got to be the 4cyl version. my 4.0 is faster stock

  • It might very well be one with big tires and a lift etc etc. You don't know what it has.

  • you might need to think about that for a little while

  • Of coarse it is! And eveything you have is better that everyone elses too!

  • how does that turbo work off road?

  • what turbo is this?

    is it a kit ?

  • the turbo is a $150 chinese , ebay special

It is not a kit I built the system myself. but if you are interested in one for the wrangler there is a company in utah named 505 performance that makes a good kit

  • i see you took the unnecessary components out of it! dash, etc. ;)

haha nice jeep though, what kit did you use for this/ what turbo? i'm curious as i just helped put a vortec 5300 in a wrangler and i want to find a used '99 or early 00's TJ and try to make it more street worthy, you know, break the jeep tradition of being offroad material. :)

  • Damn... for a Wrangler, that's pretty damn quick!

  • what was that stuff falling off the roof!?

  • it waas my pnone comming off the dash

  • o i thought it was the mirrar

  • failure.
