I live out in California, I went to Omaha in that tournament and watched games all day for 2 days. I persuaded my dad to take me to the blatt and he was surprised on how cool it was. I was expecting amazing. I wasn't disappointed. Long live the blatt.

Also the zoo isn't going to make it a parking lot! It sounds like they are going to keep home plate where it is, and put a few bleachers or benches around it in memory of Rosenblatt Stadium! Hopefully they do something like that.

The NCAA was fine with keep Rosenblatt Stadium as the place for the CWS! But Omaha's last mayor wanted to make a name for himself, so he built that new stadium. He's retarded! SO everyone it's Omaha's last mayor's fault! Don't blame the NCAA, they wanted to keep Rosenblatt! Also it sounds like that new stadium is holding less than what Rosenblatt Holds!

Imagine the parking next year downtown. I will miss Rosenblatt. It were many childhood memories were made with my grandpa. We sit in the same spot every year and I was hoping to tell my children in the future that your grandpa and I sat here when I was kid. That dream will never happen.

@Skers66 it was the only way that would work....look if omaha wanted to keep the CWS the best chance was to build the new park. otherwise the ncaa lined up orlando an indianopolis. your right it wasn't the only way. the other way was remodeling the blatt which the NCAA did not want and would cost more then just building a new stadium...and the new stadium will be really sweet and YES there will be plenty room to tailgate and everything, the blatt will be missed but the new place isn't too bad.

Cut and Dry we had no choice the Blatt lasted much longer than it probably should have. its just sad to see that people don't care at all about history anymore.

I have only missed 8 games in 19 years of going to the cws, i have season tickets on the 3rd base line section N and i love that place. I come back every year and the same people are sitting in there same spots they have been sitting in since my first time when i was 4 months old. I love the Blatt and i dont knw what its going to be like when its not the same. I think il die a bit the day it goes. I wanted to get married there... well seeing how im only 19 that might be a dream that will be lost

I agree. CWS is tradition in Omaha and that's what is important. It's a place that people enjoy going to and to build a new stadium is pointless. It won't even be in Omaha. Why should the Omaha Royals play anywhere but in Omaha. I just don't get it. It's tradition at the Blatt and I think NCAA is bein a butt for changing it.

There is no sporting event like the CWS. I've been to national championship games in basketball, football, I've gone to MLB world series games and the superbowl, but my favorite of them all is the College World Series at the Blatt.
