I am going to say a couple of things. First of all, I don't believe that women should teach men or have authority over men. That would include teaching mixed groups in a public setting.
Having said that, I would also say that I would rather err on the side of freedom.
Juanita Bynum is IMO one of the most powerful women of God. I have always enjoyed listening to her music because she goes behind the veil.
I do have a problem however with the uninterpreted tongues.
@ajgcdg first of all you need to read the book of corinthians to understand why tht verse was written. things were happening in that time that women were supposed to ask there husbands things out of respect. if you knew the word and ead it and understood it, you would understand what was happening in corinth. In chapter 11 Paul states that women in chapter 11:5 that women CAN PROPHECY with proper attire. now, Is she not prophecying with proper attire???

It's not for me or any of us to know. The reason this seems wrong is that there is no reverence in approaching our Heavenly Father. It's all focused on her and how she is 'invoking' the spirit. I am going to say a couple of things. First of all, I don't believe that women should teach men or have authority over men. That would include teaching mixed groups in a public setting.
Having said that, I would also say that I would rather err on the side of freedom.
Juanita Bynum is IMO one of the most powerful women of God. I have always enjoyed listening to her music because she goes behind the veil.
I do have a problem however with the uninterpreted tongues.

@ajgcdg first of all you need to read the book of corinthians to understand why tht verse was written. things were happening in that time that women were supposed to ask there husbands things out of respect. if you knew the word and ead it and understood it, you would understand what was happening in corinth. In chapter 11 Paul states that women in chapter 11:5 that women CAN PROPHECY with proper attire. now, Is she not prophecying with proper attire???
