  • Anybody know any other music this band has done?

  • @CCPcakes I like the singer's voice.

  • @CCPcakes this band was made up for they have a few songs in total but I'm not sure what they all are, but the bassist is from a band called Base Ball Bear, her name is Sekine Shiori

  • Not only one of my favorite movies but one of my favorite songs.

  • Your vid is popular on Libya

  • I remember when I was really into Asian films like this one from my teenage years. It makes me remember the good times, but society got to me, and I no longer watch them.

  • 映画のリンダリンダリンダのやつですね。

    いい映画だったなぁw

  • GUITAR INFORMATION: If anyone is wondering what guitar Kei is using, it is an Italia Mondial II. Just throwing this info out because I spent two whole days searching for the damn thing LOL. Buying one this summer now because of this movie. It looks and sounds great.

  • @bloc22 wut about the bass?

  • @CrimsonCru That I've never been able to find out. I've searched for that one too, but failed. I've heard people say it's an Italia bass, but that's not true. They hold any basses like the one Shiori is using.

  • My band may be performing this as our first song. The biggest reason is because I saw this AFTER I watched Uruha or The GazettE sing this when he was drunk, and I was so shocked to see what the real song was like

  • へったくそ

  • estas chavalas vêm a portugal e ja arranjam uma musica de sucesso lol

  • The vocalist of this is in a korean movie "Host"....I was shocked she's so young here..

  • @circledata45 lov'd dat moviiiii <3 seriously, its not to take too seriously, but with a huge smile and laughs :D:D:D:D:D

  • love this song the movie was some slow

  • EXELENT!!! YUJI & PARANMAUM!!!!!!! 5/5

  • I love how the camera cranes around all four of them nice and slow without any distractions!

  • Sugoi! Sugoi! PARANMAUM daisuki desu. X3

  • @doujinkid Don't use Japanese if you don't know how to speak it, damn weaboo.

  • @doujinkid

heheh, otakus... japanese don't speak like that, just so you know. Don't believe that anime voice acting is how people really talk. I say it because I do speak japanese.

  • @alxsoad lol, can you imagine if japanese people talked/sounded like anime characters? hehehe

  • @alxsoad Not 100% true. Most Japanese don't speak like that. i have known Japanese girls to speak like anime girls because they think its cute. It may start off that way but declines into being annoying. The level of the decline is based on how attractive they are. One of the girls I knew that spoke that way was not very attractive so it got annoying really fast.

  • @runeblade48 That really depends on so many things. My niece, for example, doesn't go into the whole cute thing at all. Don't think she ever will.

Japanese youth language in general has many linguists wondering. A colleague of mine (our resident linguist for Japanese) has started to compare it to some yakuza "dialects". I don't know that much about it, it's not my area. I stick to pre-modern Japanese and woodprints.

  • @Edohiguma My answer doesn't "depend" at all. I have lived in Japan. Some Japanese people "do" speak like that and they do think its cute. Just not very many.

  • @runeblade48 Sounds like you're just desperate for girls you think are attractive to pay any attention to you.

  • すごくいいね!

  • やっぱ関根さすが

    余裕がある

  • good!ª.ª

  • Funny! I hear LINDA RINDA, LINDA RINDA RINDA, first one L, others R.

  • @ekke32 The "L' in english doesn't exist for the Japanese language. That's why they usually replace it with the closest thing for them which is the 'R' sound.

  • @bloc22 Not entirely true. In Japanese the L and R are the same sound. Which way it comes out depends on the sounds that come before/after it. That's why if you listen to someone speaking Japanese you'll often hear sounds that you think are L or R, but if you look at those words written, they use the same character. This is why Japanese also have trouble with english words using those sounds, because they are conditioned to pronounce it a certain way based on the other sounds in the word.

  • @Hanamorichan Oh ok. That's pretty interesting. I've been told otherwise, but that makes a lot more sense. I'll take your word.

  • wow,,great,,i like it,,thanks,,Angel Elvis

  • is she really korean

  • @wapishka yup.

  • @qqinthesky there are 2 different cd's for this one. one has 6 tracks the other has 21 songs and is all the music. It is called linda linda linda original soundtrack music by James Iha

  • @qqinthesky the album is called We Are Paranmaum

  • @qqinthesky Paran Maum had their own EP. It's titled "We are Paran Maum". It's only 6 songs from the cast of the movie. They actually recorded their own stuff which is awesome. I knew Shiori of Base Ball Bear would do it for sure though lol

  • I agree. It's easily one my favorite movies in the world.

  • you are trully gay?

  • Is that guitar same as suzumiya haruhi's?

    そのギターは涼宮春日の同じ?

  • thats where the scene was stolen from.

  • Yes. The girls are using the Italia Mondial guitar and bass, same as Haruhi.

Manufactured in Korea and sold in Japan under the ESP brand.

  • hahaha.. my name is Linda O.o' *dies of laugh*.. :'D but great x'D

  • coool XD

  • After spending time in Japanese culture it doesn't sound like an "R" at all. It sounds just right!!

  • That's right, you won't even notice the difference anymore.

  • Linda Linda Linda!!!!!!

  • lool, is that a wet tennis court?

  • Really it's neither R nor L but a combination that doesn't exist in English, like an R with the tongue in a similar position to L but further back, off the teeth.

  • There is no L as we pronounce it in Japanese, I have a Japanese friend who asked me the difference pronunciation wise between Lake and Rake, because the concept of separating these sounds makes no sense. It is their L to them and our R to us.

  • yeah weird, to me it sounds like "Linda" too.

  • I totally hear Linda....o.o idk....

  • Because 'Linda Linda' is the song's name and actual meaning; 'Rinda Rinda' is how it would be pronounced in Japanese.

I don't think there's an 'L' sound in Japanese, so typically 'L' sounds are translated to 'R' sounds, or something.

  • its the opposite, R sounds to L sounds.

  • Comment removed

  • But, the "L" is never pronounced in the Japanese language.

  • La is ら, Li is り, Lu is る and so on

there's no letter/sound for Ra, Ri...

  • Uhm, but why if you search "る" on wikipedia it says

"ru" (and "るう" is "ruu", and "るー" is "rū")?

  • luv4for chocolate is I'm assuming describing it from the Japanese point of view and from ours it phonetically makes more sense opposite. Some of this stems from the systems in place to learn and convert Japanese to English. I can remember one is the Hepburn system and there is another old famous one and more may hay cropped up.

  • This, thankfully is easy to explain. ' るう ' has a vowel after it and so the vowel whatever it may be is attached, in that case it happens to be U. Since they end the same, though may be subtly separate in pronunciation.

' るー ' has a vowel lengthening so is pronounced a bit longer. The reason for the two is grammar and it is simply just because. Like so many things in English obscure history is why. Both are needed to form all of the words.

  • I know this, my question was another:

Why wikipedia says that る is "ru" and not "lu"

    like luv4chocolate explained to us?

  • It's because it is written for English readers and is how it is recognized by our systems of conversion. If you use an English keyboard and a Japanese IME and type both Ra makes it appear and La remains in the same letter form. How we would pronounce La would not at all resemble the Japanese concept of the letter. You could also find the same confusion with Fu and Hu though that is not related to conversion.

  • It is the accepted norm. From an English view it is more correct and helps us speak the language. I you tried to learn the Japanese concept when learning it could give you false ideas and would not help at in learning it.
