Why can't he get a chance to at least show himself first? It hurts that Perkins is gone, but don't put your anger on Jeff and Nenad. They didn't ask for the trade and they didn't make the trade in the first place and yes Jeff was probably hurt in the process too losing his best friend as a teammate in Kevin Durant. He's probably hurt by leaving a team he started with and has to conform to a new culture and style of play. I'm hurt, but I'll give him a chance before I throw hate at him.

On an outside perspective (Suns fan here), Perk wasn't an All-Star, but he was important to the Celtics. It's a small, and I can't emphasize it enough, how small a step the team has taken backwards (& only until they mesh again) for a wing player in Green who will be there with Davis and Rondo in the future. They are still the team to beat in the East, and are heavy contenders for a Finals appearance. Getting Green was a great move, and I'd do the deal again if I was in Ainge's position.

The Celtics traded Perkins because they didn't want to pay him what he wanted, at the end of the season hes a free agent. Celtics are "center less" without Perkins but Dwight Howard is a free agent at the end of the season! We all miss Kendrick Perkins!

It may hurt initially to have lost Perkins, but Jeff Green is a solid young player who could definitely be a key component in the near future.
