Anledningen till att kulan "lyser" är att i slutet av själva kulan så finns det en mängd fosfor som an tänds och brinner med ett rött ljus.

Yes there are Swedish people who stereotype americans but you most likely won't come across any bad treatment because you're from the U.S. The Sweeds are very friendly, especially young people. I recommend the three large cities in Sweden: Stockholm (capital), Gothenburg and Malmö. Very beautiful and multi-cultural cities. Almost all Sweeds speak fluent english since it is a compulsory subject in schools. Best wishes on your travel!
