I used to watch this on Channel 4's Take 5 when I was little. Except the version I watched didn't have the namby-pamby narration. Kids can see just fine what's going on, they don't need an explanation for every little detail that's going on onscreen! Sorry for the rant, but I do think the narration takes a lot away from the funny noises and sound effects the characters make, which is one of the many highlights of this adorable little claymation. =) At least the theme song is still the same.

Finaly I found this! Here in Finland we say mio mao a very diffrent way and we write it like this "miu mau" so it took a while to find this thing, I love mio mau! It is wonderful animation. FIVE STARS!

from what I remember the series was from the late 80s and the Quaq Quao (origami duck show made by the same company) was from the late 70s and early 80s. there was also another show like Mio Mao but from the 70s, but I don't remember the name. IIRC it was a blue cat and a red one
