I feel bad for the Mormon cult. Secret handshakes to get into heaven, secret ceremonies, and strange garb are disconcerting enough. But having a leader who they actually believe speaks on behalf of god is scary. Moroni's Promise is nothing more than a brainwash exercise. There is no weaker foundation of truth than "praying to yourself" and then "getting a feeling/vision/whatever". Not to mention the churches "tithe" accounting, tv ads, and door to door sales people qualify it as a business.

@Sk8er408 I know what original Mormonism professes. the LDS today are in apostasy to Mormonism. The FLDS are adhering to more original doctrine taught by Joseph Smith than the LDS. I couldn't agree with the church's prohibitive stance on coffee, tea, and premarital sex. It is to my knowledge and personal experience that to abstain from sex over a prolonged period of time can engender psychological and physical ramifications. Also, there is absolutely nothing hazardous associated with drinking a cup of coffee or tea on a daily basis. Lastly, I don't support the church's condition imposed on members that they marry only members of the church.
I actually once considered joining this church. Boy, am I happy I never did. Obviously, the Holy Spirit swayed me towards making the right decision through prayer.

The LDS church does not teach that their is no hell or cross. In fact the very opposite. It is taught that the lower levers of heaven are a hell, as you will be cut off from God to some degree. Those that deny Jesus will be cut off altogether.

If they didnt believe, they wouldnt have cared enough to spend two years of their life serving the Lord. i was mormon, this is not a secret, but these are really the teachings which are taught in the church, first and formost. The base is really the bible, the book of mormon is fashioned after it with large segments copied directly and therefore seeming true to those who already believe in the bible. There is no ill will, so far as I can see, besides wanting to control people with guilt and many rules, just like other religions. I'm an ex mormon, but I have nothing against them.

There is no weaker foundation of truth than "praying to yourself" and then "getting a feeling/vision/whatever". Not to mention the churches "tithe" accounting, tv ads, and door to door sales people qualify it as a business.

I couldn't agree with the church's prohibitive stance on coffee, tea, and premarital sex. It is to my knowledge and personal experience that to abstain from sex over a prolonged period of time can engender psychological and physical ramifications. Also, there is absolutely nothing hazardous associated with drinking a cup of coffee or tea on a daily basis. Lastly, I don't support the church's condition imposed on members that they marry only members of the church.

i was mormon, this is not a secret, but these are really the teachings which are taught in the church, first and formost. The base is really the bible, the book of mormon is fashioned after it with large segments copied directly and therefore seeming true to those who already believe in the bible. There is no ill will, so far as I can see, besides wanting to control people with guilt and many rules, just like other religions. I'm an ex mormon, but I have nothing against them.

Do Mormons truely love Christ? An elder spirit brother whose name is to be reverenced, never worshipped or prayed too? Impossible. He was the god of the Old testament then he came in the flesh and prayed to his Father in John, Why would he pray to himself? Intersting that in the Fifties and Sixties, clams to being saved were much different than your claims today. @scottwins2 You don't understand the Word of God. The Father is not Jesus or the Holy Spirit. 3 are 1 God. God is beyond mortal comprehension. His ways are not our ways. Joseph Smith failed to comprehend God so he invented a new god that would pacify the human mind. The Almighty is a supreme being whose glory and power could raise up rocks to do the work of the lds church. By the grace of God we have direct access to Gods power through faith.

@TheNihipali5 There's a huge difference between Mormonism and Biblical Christianity. Josephs new god was spiritually born of a father and mother god on a planet near a star called Kolob. He is a decendant of a long line of gods, "a dynasty of gods". This deity progressed to godhood after a mortal life of being subservient to Josephs laws and ordinances. This is evolution.

The same 2 divine seperate individuals as described by the ancient Apostle Peter who looked steadfastly into Heaven and saw Christ seated at the right hand of God. I love all people Christian or not, but Mormons are not viewed as Christian by anyone but themselves and their religion is false and based on a false God. On youtube search "Mormon Lady Went to Hell" -an interesting story from a formally Mormon woman. She even mentions that Mormons only read the Bible to argue with Christians...they don't actually teach from it.

I have a book called 100 biblical answers to Mormonism. TRUST ME, they are not real Christians. Who's MORONI? is that angel mentioned on the Bible? NO. So, Moroni is an demon from hell that came 2 astray people from God's Word. Mormons say that men become God. Joseph S. used to convince people to burn the houses of those who were not mormons. Archaeologists prove that the people, tongues and constumes on the mormon book NEVER existed. Joseph S. taught GOD HAS A FATHER.Please!

That is a prophecy of Moroni and the Golden Plates. Moroni taught Christ came in the flesh and Christ taught anyone that said he came in flesh is of God. Your words are against what Christ taught. Archeology proves the Book of Mormon is true.
