Hi, I am getting the high pitched red error message "Internal error. Please notify administrator. Take note of any unsaved data and click here to continue."
So what is the benefit for not writing it all in JavaScript? I think it would be lot faster to write directly JavaScript because when writing it in JavaScript, you don't need to compile at all and you don't need to write Java first to get your JavaScript.
@RahmanSuhkur Try to write the above application in javascript and see if you can fit the result in a 9min video. Please include lazy loading, layouts and read/write to server filesystem. It would be really interesting to see how fast it could be done.
So the a nutshell - the benefit is development speed and greatly simplified development model.
JavaZone did put my Vaadin presentation there online. In the presentation I build the same application live. So if you want to see the same presentation live - with sound and background info - head to goo.gl / 1Vxm
No sound, too fast, can't read any of the captions and then look at the code before the video moves on. Really would benefit to have sound speaking the captions so I can watch the code and know what is going on here.
A possibly great video ruined because of the lack of sound. Please consider fixing that.
@garryfre I subscribe many tutorial, but slow tutorial makes me sleepy, his perspective of doing that speed is cool, You can pause if you want to copy the codes.
@sji123 The main difference between ZK and Vaadin is that ZK can use XML components. XML is a good declarative language for GUI definition. Furthermore, with ZK you can modify XML GUIs with Java.
Anyway, Vaadin looks great and I hope it can be a good ZK competitor as Vaadin matures.
Awesome functionality with very little code :)
