@MrMadmax900 Hogan is not POF. Hogan basically took POF's design and is now embroiled in lawsuits with POF. Several of POf's employees mysteriously ended up working for Hogan and now Hogan is building rifles that look exactly like the POF rifles becasue Hoga obviously can't design his own weapon. Makes me wonder if Hogan took this account fro POF by being the Lowest cost bidder?
For the folding stock they should have made the stock fold the other way, that way the weapon is slimmer when it is folded. The way he chose to fold it, it is twice as think becasue you have the folded stock on one side and the bolt handle on the other.
that folding rifle stock is actually pretty awesome in my opinion! I personally want a folding stock on a hunting/LRtactical rifle more than on a tactical carbine. for my applications my Ar-15 is already short enough. but for hiking up a mountain to do some long range shooting it would be awesome to be able to put my rifle in a back pack and not have it snag on trees and brush as much on the way up! Cool Stock!!!
@Mraje94 Only in that it's an AR rifle, really. The Remington RSASS is based off the JP Enterprises LRP-07 rifle. If you check out my other SHOT Show videos, I have a video on the LRP-07. I think you'll see more of a resemblance in that rifle.
I was in the market for a POF 308 and was told to check these guys out because they have POF make there uppers and lowers. Nice product and I like the fact its gas and not piston. That being said I kind of like the POF pricing when compared to there version.
After 3 "Communications" classes in college, I found out how awkward people feel just standing in front of a camera talking. You'd probably see George and others really mellow out and get into a groove if you interviewed them about the product instead of putting them into the limelight by themselves.
Also, make the videos longer than 1-2 minutes only showing one product from the booths.
@MARINE1146 These were shot for the Guns and Ammo website. They requested only the company rep be present in the video and all interviews be kept to 1-3 minutes. What you learn in college quickly goes out the window in the real world with you're on assignment and working for a publisher. :)
I believe most if not all brand name gun makers are more "assemblers" rather than "manufacturers". MAC had an interesting article several months ago about hammer forged barrels and how expensive it is to own a machine that makes them. Do people fault the quality of, let's say BCM, cause they don't make their own barrels? I don't think so.
@PRSpl4yer The parts are manufactured for them to their specifications and fitted by GAP(on the AR's). Their bolt guns are second to none using the best parts available. You may think it's just a matter of assembly, but there is much more to it. Every GAP rifle I've handled(quite a few) had a fit and finish that was incredible and were all extremely accurate. George can re-barrel, true and tune a stock Remington action into a thing of beauty.
@PRSpl4yer LOL how can you consider your self a 'reviewer' when you're so fucking ignorant? you don't have a clue about precision rifles or gunsmithing! what a moron!!!!!
Professional editing. Lots of good shots of that cool rifle. Although I hate how the demo guy's voice goes up at the end of every sentence. Not his fault though.
@SirJarred Yeah, interesting rifles but the demo guy has got to lose that Valley Girl question mark at the end of every sentence. Maybe he was nervous.
@Kevin32001 Doesn't really sound like it since they're using stocks that some other company came up with and a gas system from Noveske on a rifle manufactured for them by still someone else. Pretty weak game if you ask me.
@Sturmgewehre I had no idea, that's great then. I think pistons are just a fad playing on peoples fears.

So GAP doesnt make the Gap-10, Hoagan does? Isnt hoagan POF?
MrMadmax900 1 month ago
@MrMadmax900 POF makes the receivers, GAP builds the rifles on their receivers. POF doesn't assemble the rifles.

@Sturmgewehre
Who is the Hoagan he said makes them in the video?
MrMadmax900 1 month ago
@Sturmgewehre
Why did the guy say the "rifle" was made under your specifications by another company? He didn't say the receiver he said the gap10 rifle.
Just asking because of what he said. You need to edit the video if his information is incorrect.

Odd that GAP would choose a shop that does crap like that. Why does the guy in the video say Hogan makes the guns "for us".

@Sturmgewehre I see, is the lower receiver a stock AR or is it modified, for example: could I buy a .22, .223, .50 BMG, etc Upper receiver?
