What you fail to mention is that Bush was told by George Tenet, then head of the FBI and a Clinton appointed Democrat, that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq & of course, Clinton got our inspectors kicked out with his poor diplomatic skills so we had no proof of anything different. It's usually not a good idea to come to a battle of minds with a faulty weapon.
